Hatton was a legitimate champion who fought the best in the world and ducked no-one. Khan is a protected fighter who makes a living out of fighting tomato cans. When Khan is fighting and winning at Ricky's level he might well be proven to have more ability but as it stands, speed aside, he has been down against some very light hitters and hasn't been tested since losing to Prescott.

I absolutely believe that Hatton has more ability than Khan at this point and given his experience. The way he pulled a clinic on Paulie Malligani shows that under the right guidance - and when he listens - he can be a formidable opponant.

For the record, i'm not a fan of either. I actually lost a lot of respect for Hatton after he made some fairly outlandish comments about his recent fights.

As it stands, at this age Hatton was fighting B-leve opposition, then eventually fought for the lightly regarded WBU title. Where as Khan has fought good domestic opposition; winning the Commonwealth Title, won a legitimate alphabet world title, successfully defended it against his mandatory, and has even fought Barrerra (albeit a faded one).

Khan boxes, Hatton manhandles. There's a big difference where ability comes into that.

Makes no difference at this stage of his career, as long as his conditioning is right, he's not going to want to change anything else. Doubt he could even if he wanted to.

Who was Hatton fighting after 20 odd fights?

Could Hatton have done what Khan did @ 17 @ the Olympics?
    Khan has much more ability

He will only be looking to have another few fights, so it doesnt really matter who trains him they just need to stay on his case and moan at him to get it done, he aint gonna change nowt at this stage. By the looks of him, he is gonna need to shift about 25kgs, he is ****in huge.

Hatton maybe hits harder, definitely has a better chin, probably is stronger...in fact for arguments sake let's say Hatton had every possible physical advantage over Khan, he still wouldn't have as much "ability". Hatton is a crude rough and tumble fighter with no defense other than hugging and fouling and Khan is a pretty slick boxer.

It'll probably be beard or gallagher or both. He should give brother Nazim a call.

Not against lesser threats like Malinaggi apparently. He boxed exceptionally well in that fight with Dip**** Senior in his corner, sorry to even say.

He could always do that when the occasion demanded it tho , see the Tackie fight for evidence

It wont matter who trains him now tho
