come on you are better than this. you are a good poster.

we know all this is a tuneup so wlad will offer next to no money (300 - 500k)
fury won't take that because he can make a lot of more next year.

all sauerland fighters will just take the fight if its a mandatory (they have to make a purse bid because of the differnt tv contracts) ==> so no sauerland fighter will fight the KBros till they have to. it's just a tune up before the povetkin fight which will be 100% in the summer.

please give me a logical argument who would fight him for that money right now, considering sauerland and tv contracts problems (huck and hernandez are also sauerland)
there is close to noone left, besides the guys with no choice (solis, boytsov, hanks and perhaps adamek)

why should wlad offer next to no money? why can't he fight a worthwhile challenge? why does it have to be a tuneup?

i've given the names of 8 deserving cw-hw fighters, 2 of whom are calling wlad out right now.

Dimitrenko would be a guy who isn't close to a big mandatory payday and he's probably in desperate need of money after Universum went bankrupt. Unfortunately he's pretty much coming off of a loss to Pulev and hasn't done much since therefore he'd not be a good pick.

    Same for Boytsov right now.

According to Vitali, Solis has never lost a fight. Which means he's the only boxer to ever beat Vitali, a genuine grudge match.

because it is business. we don't live in a dreamworld. i wpuld love to see him fight helenius, but the guys from sauerland are ****ing robbery assholes who are ten times more worse than K2 and Don King. They won't their fighters fight the KBros or difficult challanges as long they don't get their money.

the other questions is who has a realistic chance to beat wlad? just plain and simple no one. david haye had the biggest chance of all and it was 20 %

Correct. All these guys would need 1-2 tuneups against good opposition to be proper contenders IMO.

it doesn't matter who has a chance. he is a champion, he should fight the best available opposition.

fury and helenius are calling him for the next fight. povetkin is seemingly desperate to make the fight happen also.

agreed. the winner of pulev v adamek will be well deserving. povetkin has been ranked for a while despite looking poor against huck so he's deserving.

other than that the rest of the guys are prospects really. but still, if they are ranked high and want the fight, make it happen i say.

You may be right about finding a opponent for that kind of money but does that make solis or the others you mentioned a deserving challenger no it does not. At the end of the day boytsov may be an easier sell than vitali victims solis and adamek. I really do feel that giving people a sub-standard heavyweight tittle fight does quite a lot of damage to wlad's reputation as a champion and to our sport

Yes. Not liking the heavyweight division is like liking basketball and not liking the NBA.

    I agree with Mr Butt.

You can't hold the weakness of an era against a champion but you can hold the weakness of his opposition against him. The Wach fight was a farce and he's seemingly about to do it again by facing an unranked opponent, the problem is this time we have 3 of the top 10 calling him out to make the fight.

Imagine how good a year this can be? He beats Fury, Povetkin and Pulev. Reminding the world why so many consider him a great champion.

Maybe then finishing off with a fight against Vitali's successor next year (haye or arreola I imagine).

That's not a big ask,.3 of those listed are calling Wlad out anyways, 2 would be mandatory and the last unification would see him make history.

Surely there isn't a boxing fan out there who wouldn't map a similar trajectory given the chance.

There are not enough good opponents out there for Wlad to fight every time he goes into the ring. He'll probably fight some "bum" in April and then fight Povetkin next. After that he'll eventually have to fight the winner of Adamek Pulev.

the problem is that there are to many prospects who are not ready.

i can't complain on wlad if he fights a bum (solis and boytsov are clearly no bums, but undeserving and not ranked, but they have credentials, especially solis) and after that he fights povetkin and in an ideal world pulev at the end of the year. if this will be i will be more than happy.

    i see it like that:

    april: solis, boytsov or mitchell

    july: povetkin

    november: pulev

this would be a great year for wlad. and next year fury, price, jennings and helenius would be more than ready. and if he fights them all and beats them he would have cleaned out two generations and this would be ****ing great

But fury is more ready than solis, is available and wants the fight.
