Well there is no rinse and repeat because there has been no approach. And as for the shortcut, well he sees solis and being bandied about and realised he might just be the best available challenger so he called out the champ. If he didnt want the fight he wouldn't call him out. All wlad has to do is offer the fight and we can see the the story play out rather than speculate.
that would be ****ing epic in kiev olympiski stadium with 80000 fans screaming. but haye won't go to ukraine. and i think that haye could very well beat vitali(he became way to slow). but imagine this tripple header: main event: wlad vs povetkin co main event: golovkin vs pirog and undercard: chakhiev vs masternak. this would be ****ing epic
We can speculate. All we know I Cunningham is coming off a schooling of a top 5 hw and is ranked higher than Price.
if you look in an academic way on that then you are right but if you look at a realistic way then you know adamek and cunningham are no where near the top 10.
You think Fury would sign a fight with Wlad for a voluntary shot with options when he's just two fights (possibly 12-18 months) away from a no-options guaranteed $3 million payday with Wlad/Vitali? Fury would be pissing away a good $2 million for saving himself time and the risk of fighting an eliminator. That's why IMO Fury isn't close to getting a title fight immediately. He is asking for mandatory conditions without actually being the mandatory (although being close). A win over Cunningham won't make Fury mandatory neither so he'll be back to square zero (plus the Cunningham fight purse).
I'll give Haye some credit for getting the WBA belt and helping the belts get unified by fighting Wlad at a later date.
This is exactly the point. Noone knows what Fury would agree to. He's asked for the fight so it is now on Wlad to make him an offer. That is how it works. Challenger calls out champion, champion attempts to stage fight with said challenger.
From a business stand point Wlad won't fight Fury right now, allowing him to build his name in the States first. It makes sense. Let Fury talk and increase his capitalisation. Solis? Nah, it will be difficult to sell this fight based on Solis' KO1 loss to Vitali. Boytsov? More likely, there was a talk of Wlad staging a fight in Moscow, and Boytsov will surely bring in some Russian fans and money. Both Povetkin and Pulev (he'll deal with Adamek) are major fights and will happen later in the year.
Boytsov would be a good name in Wlad's record. Would he (Wlad) fight Boytsov in April and Povetkin in August? Besides that, Wlad's next fight will be April 6th. Only two months left. He should quickly announce the name of his next opponent. Or maybe he will rest until the Povetkin fight on the summer?
I highly doubt Sauerland would risk all three of their "big guns" in a row against Wlad. It would be a great year for Wlad though if he faced all three and was victorious.
