Who will Bute fight next?

    Now that we know Andrade will fight Tsypko for a mandatory IBF title shot.

    Who will Bute fight in March?

    People have been talking about Larsen for months but Interbox and Bute don't seem very interested by that fight and they are trying to avoid it.

    There is also the ESPN.com rumor of a potential fight with Jermain Taylor. But we have no idea how serious that rumor is.

    So I guess we'll have to start looking at the IBF rankings.

    01- NOT RATED
    02- Vitaly Tsypko (IBF Eliminator against Andrade)
    03- Librado Andrade (IBF Eliminator against Tsypko)
    04- Robert Stieglitz (Possibility if he wins his fight next week)
    05- Sakio Bika (Already beat him. Rumored to fight Allan Green in February)
    06- Alejandro Berrio (Already knocked him out)
    07- Jeff Lacy (Just lost big against Taylor)
    08- Jermain Taylor (ESPN Rumor)
    09- Edison Miranda (Comeback fight in January against TBA)
    10- Andre Direll (Possibility but might be too soon for them to take a title shot)
    11- Jesse Brinkley (PLEASE GOD NO!!!!!!!!)
    12- Allan Green (Rumor of a fight with Bika in February)
    13- Andre Ward (Possibility but might be too soon like Dirrell)
    14- Karoly Balzsay (Fighting Inkin for WBO Title)
    15- Mads Larsen (Rumored opponent for months!)


    As you can see. Not much to work with here. The only other possibilities I can is is Yusaf Mack who's ranked at 175lbs and Sebastien Demers who's ranked at 160lbs.

    There is also the possibility of Arthur Abraham moving up but that would be a very dangerous fight to take.

    If he cannot get Taylor, he'll fight Green, unless he has to fight Larsen, I think.

    Larsen deserves a go to be honest. He's a better option than most of that list anyway, if they don't pull it of with Taylor. Perhaps they can get the Danish thing going.

    Either way, he's gonna have to rematch Andrade shortly.

    If he can't get the Taylor fight I'm hoping an American based fighter or a guy well known by the Us public.

    Green, Dirrell, Ward, Miranda, etc...

    It has to be a fight that the US network will be interested in. If he wants the big fights in the future he has to put his name out there.

    Fighting an euro stiff off tv is not going to achieve that.

    He'll fight some bum in Canada with his dad as the special guest referee, much like the rest of his career.

    In 3 of his last 4 fights Bute fought:

    Andrade (Top3 Ring Magazine!)
    Berrio (IBF Champion)
    Bika (Top10 Ring Magazine)
    Bute is one hell of a protected fighter!!!! :patsch

    The good news is even tho Bute and his team said they want the rematch. Now that Andrade is fighting an eliminator. Bute will have no choice but to fight Andrade. So we are pretty much 100% sure to see the fight.

    Larsen to get rid of the damn clause with Sauerland. Taylor because that's the best fight to make. Dirrell or Ward, but as you say, if I were them, I'd wait a bit.
