I won't even consider buying it, and I buy damn near everything AND I'm an RJJ fan. That can't bode well for their financial prospects.

promoter should put jr, bowe, ruddock, morrison, and holy on the same card, then there will be some real curiosity buys

This is an intersting point I was going to raise.

Is this fight that much different from Roy Jones' disgraceful run from 1998-2002 where he fought a list of absolute nobodies consisting of a sanitation worker and off duty cop? At this time he was walking around telling us he was the P4P#1, while flat out refusing to make any big fights.

They didn't call him Reluctant Roy for nothin'. The guy hid behind pathetic mandatories like no other.

 

I can only imagine how shitty the production values will be. It will be a poorly lit, one camera job in a small, empty arena where the beer vendors and security guards outnumber the actual fans. The commentary will be handled by a regional caller with jack **** knowledge of boxing who is accustomed to calling local basketball matches. The undercard will feature nobody you have ever heard of or will ever hear of. Despite this, I may still order it!

WTF? Doesn't Roy still promote Ismayl Sillakh? Just tossing him on there against a journeyman would drastically improve this card.

 

If Roy wants to fight these guys, fine. But damn it Roy make these cards worthy of an ESPN FNF stamp or something. Or do a world tour, I'm sure there are some Chinese peasants that would love to see you and probably have one of your CD's.
