I don´t think it matters so much, as long as he fights again within a reasonable time and keeps active after that. And doesn´t keep fighting bums.

    Why beat around the bush??
Haye should go for Sam Peter.
Peter should be nothing more than a human heavybag for Haye.
Peter is slow with minimal boxing skills.
Against Haye --- he plays nothing more than the "Catcher".

when he says he's gonna fight 2 top 10 guys, i hope he means according to ring's rankings not some sanctioning body.

ffs meehan, chapman, and walker are ranked top 10 by various orgs.

since he signed with GB, why not Sultan. both need a fight. i would give haye big props if he took that fight. iggy has a far better chin and defense than i thought. he is a skilled fighter but he is boring as ****. i dont think the division lacks talent but exciting styles. only peter and povetkin have aggressive styles of the top 10 fighters.

    Iggy UD Haye :yep

think he'll fight Rahman but I'd like to see him up against Sultan or Maskaev.
by the way no one should question Haye's balls. Haye loves a challenge. Yes he'll eventually get KO'd but whatever Haye is, he is game and I think will prove himself so at HW.

Dimitrenko is going to be kept from fighting anyone decent till he gets a title shot so he's out .

I say Ruiz or Maskaev are the best(realistic) options .

Haye has to fight someone in the top 10 of one of the sanctioning bodies for Setanta Sports to accept it so here's his current optiosns:

    Vladimir Virchis(WBC #1, WBO #3)-fighting Gomez
    Juan Carlos Gomez(WBC #2)-fighting Virchis
    John Ruiz(WBC #3, WBA #2, IBF #6, WBO #12)
    Hasim Rahman(WBC #4, WBA #12, IBF #3, WBO #13)-fighting Toney
    Alexander Dimitrenko(WBC #5, WBA #5, IBF #4, WBO #2)
    Oleg Maskaev(WBC #6, IBF #7, WBO #6)
    Chris Arreola(WBC #7, WBA #13, IBF #10, WBO #10)-fighting Chazz Witherspoon
    Andrew Golota(WBC #8, WBA #6, IBF #11)
    Kali Meehan(WBC #9, WBA #3, IBF #13, WBO #9)
    Donnell Holmes(WBC #10)
    Nicolei Valuev(WBA #1)-fighting Chagaev
    Taras Bidenko(WBC #37, WBA #4)
    Kevin Johnson(WBC #15 , WBA #7)
    Sergui Lyakhovich(WBA # 8
    Carl Davis Drumond(WBC #12, WBA #10, IBF #15)
    Alexander Povetkin(IBF #1 , WBO #4)-fighting TBA , then Klitschko
    Sultan Ibragimov(IBF #5 , WBO #5)
    Eddie Chambers(IBF # 8-fighting Raphael Butler
    Tony Thompson(IBF #9, WBO #1)-fighting Klitschko
    JD Chapman(WBC #13, WBA #9, WBO #7)
    Travis Walker(WBC #14, WBO # 8 )

So that's 21 possible opponents , and 8 of those are busy leaving Haye with 13 possible opponents .

    Ruiz
    Dimitrenko
    Maskaev
    Golota
    Meehan
    Holmes
    Bidenko
    Johnson
    Lyakhovich
    Drumond
    Ibragimov
    Chapman
    Walker

Well anyone who is a step up from Bonin will be an improvement for him. Shame that Rahman doesnt seem to be happening now! Dont think a domestic match up would do him any good... I'd go for Briggs then Ruiz before taking on one of the smaller champions. Leave Wlad alone though - Haye would get hurt!
