    Well this has thrown a spanner in the works. If this doesn't work out I can see DeGale going after the WBO strap.

    Yeah his fan base does open a lot of doors for him.

    I'm not really too sure how this ones playing out. Going off the WBC rankings, Chavez Jr is in the number 1 spot - ranked ahead of Degale - for Bika.

    If Chavez beats Vera and could get a fight with Bika in April/May himself - which could be done as Chavez does bring a lot of $$$$ to the table - then the time scale would work out fine for the winner of Groves/Froch at the back end of this year.

    Like you said though it's whether Chavez wants to risk it. But win tonight, beat Bika and set up a big unification fight with the winner of Groves/Froch will be a massive money spinner.

    Bika is Golden Boy. Chavez will fight an HBO fighter - Golovkin, Froch/Groves, Ward. They'll go down the list for Degale - maybe Vlasov?
