In this interview Roy says he knows Manny's and Floyd's styles very well and could devise a plan so that the outcome of the fight is different. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Vd3EwpDiVc[/ame]
Actually, Merchant has pissed off more than just Floyd fans. There's the Katsidis incident and the recent Martinez episode. You going to say Floyd fans support someone who gets hit as often as Katz?
Bruh, stop taking everything literally. It was just a saying. Obviously every last person doesn't want Merchant to do this fight. However, the people in general want to see Larry call this fight and I believe he will call this fight.
He is too old, and if it were any other fight, I wouldn't want to see him call it. However, after their last dust up, I definitely want Merchant calling the fight. I definitely don't want to see him do the Pac fight considering he is in love with Pacquiao.
I wouldn't advise you watching these videos cos you might get depressed; I did lol. Seems like ever since Arthur passed away HBO's gone down the drain. Mayweather isn't going anywhere. He will always remain an HBO fighter. He's Mr. HBO. He's not about to jump to Showtime just because Merchant is calling his fight.
I think Floyd would be able to get someone else instead of Merchant doing the commentary for his fight if he really pushed for it and went out of his way to make it happen.
To be honest JG I don't think Larry has enough to say to keep the viewers interested. Larry is great, for HBO, not for me. It's a shame Al Bernstein can't jump ship.
