It honestly seems like nobody wants to fight this guy. Who will fight him in the fall? Johnson, Dirrell, Martinez, or will he just have to wait until next year for Froch, even if he loses to Ward.

Based on his resume, the answer has to be "some unranked guy at 168."

    About the underlined:
    That's a stretch.

-A bizarre acting Pavlik dipping out of a different fight doesn't mean he doesn't want to fight Bute. Yes it may heavily be the case, but no, we cannot treat it as fact.

-Kessler taking the same money to fight a different ABC titlist in Stieglitz doesn't mean he doesn't want to fight Bute.

Anybody else you were thinking of?

    Oh yes.

But he clearly needs at least one fight (I would say two) before going against the top.

I think it will be Johnson.
    Interbox talked about him recently.

I hope it's not another undeserving contender...

The most logical option will be Glen J. The second option will be A Direll.

it's August. Dirrell hasn't fought since March 2010. He's not a logical opponent for Bute in November. Hopefully they have already contacted Johnson.

There's literally no one for him that's legit that's willing to fight him...Kessler and Pavlik ran way scared, S6 will not have been over long enough for the winner or loser to fight him, Stieglitz ran way scared, Dirrell will not fight him after a long layoff, Johnson will not be accepted by boxing fans, they'd claim another handpicked easy win for Bute.....he's literally ****ed over unless he can hold off a couple more months for his next fight and get the S6 winner/loser

Its sad but since Kessler and Pavlik chickened out probably Johnson.

Now in MrMagic mode: He will fight another romanian taxi cab driver, Bute is gutless...blablabla...

Logic for a fan's point of view sadly has little to do with Bute's choice of opponents. If the pattern continues as it has, the logical answer would be; Some unrated nobody at 168.

I noticed fans saying Dirrell, kessler, and such, but logically Bute should have faced these or someone of their ranking last year.

Glen Johnson. Bute's team already mentioned that The Road Warrior was willing to travel to Canada anytime to fight Lucian.
