I heard a few weeks back Frampton's next fight might be in America and he's just uploaded a selfie on twitter of him and his team in Times Square NYC. So who will his opponent be??

    How's that?

Frampton just made is own self look a TIT when he shamefully ducked Quigg.

Well that would be pretty dumb. Vargas is possibly the best up and comer at 122. It won't be a smart idea to put him in there with Frampton when he has yet to step up, unless they are really confident in Vargas.

But where did you hear that? or were you just playing around?

That's the word around social media and there's no smoke without fire but we'll just have to wait and see. Vargas is fighting another bum on Saturday night who he'll KO in a couple of rounds so he'd definitely be able to make a July date. I was surprised to be honest this kid looks decent and he's 5,9 long reach and very awkward could make Frampton look bad.

:yep If this is the fight they take it is indeed an error by Team McGuigan on Frampton's behalf. The McGuigans have done well for Carl, thus far, but it seems to me that Frampton has become too big for their promotional and managerial skills and as such they're blowing Frampton's prime on no win bouts against dangerous up and comers that are hardly the big money fights Frampton should be in now. What do you think big fella, you're a big Frampton fan. Are the McGuigans starting to blow Frampton's career?

I'm assuming this is going to be on HBO so the McGuigan's are probably hoping Frampton blows him away GGG style and gets the Irish Americans cumming in their trunks! :)

:yep I know you're a big Frampton fan (I like him too btw) so I wanted to see if you felt that if this fight made was it time for Carl to move on from Team McGuigan. Any of the promotional outfits you mentioned would be a big step up from Barry and Son. Nothing against Barry or Shane, but I just want to see Frampton get some big money fights since they left the Quigg money on the table.

I've been watching Vargas for a while, he's tall, rangy, can use his reach and box from the outside, fast hands, decent footwork, good power. His only downfalls are that he hasn't stepped up (so we don't know how he'll do against better competition), his chin may be suspect and he likes to please the crowd a little to much for my liking.

This is a lose-lose situation for Frampton imo. If Vargas can keep him on the outside it could make Frampton, who has a short reach look pretty bad. If Frampton beats him, they'll say Vargas is a bum who hasn't fought anyone.

I'll be surprised if they let Vargas fight Frampton when he's so close to getting a WBC shot, which is more obtainable. I think Vargas beats Santa Joke right now tbh lol.

The kids been fighting in leisure centres in Mexico wouldn't take much to get him to fight Frampton in America at Madison Square Garden :)

You made a good point, but is the (currently) unheralded (and potentially very awkward) Vargas the right guy to try and impress American fight fans at this time? Im not sure. Lol at the CMac reference, but I guess Frampton isn't attched to the blarney stone like Conor.

If Frampton bangs him out of there Bazza will be saying this kid was an unbeaten Mexican the new Barrera or Morales and look what Carl done to him! LOL

Agreed! The problem is that it is usually best for the fighter in question to prove he is a world class operator BEFORE you get your guy to bang him out of there!! Bloody Bazza's got it back to front. :patsch
