Almost certain he’ll pull of the Usyk fight with an injury or something. Fury has pulled out before like the Wlad. He’s just got whooped by Ngannou so no way he’ll be ready for Usyk by Feb.

Too much money in the game and no better option for him to decide quit this imo.
He earn probably more than 70 millions.
This + fact that he almost lost to MMA debut guy can make him feel that lost can come from someone who he dont expect.
Better lost with Usyk (fight all want) than lost with other dudes which is possibile today.

He will fight Usyk imo.

His next fight will be against Usyk.

Why wouldn’t he when he knows he can show up and hug for 12 rounds and have a chance at winning a decision.

Fury's gonna make $100 mil+ for the Usyk fight. He's not backing out now. If he did, i'm not sure the boxing world or the saudis would give him another shot with that kind of money. Sure, he could still get a few more solid paydays elsewhere, but i'd argue that he's definitely on thin ice after that s**t show performance against Ngannou.

Maybe this is wishful thinking, but I'd also like to think there's some small part of Fury that still cares about his own reputation, and he knows he screwed up with the Ngannou fight. He didn't take it seriously and he barely got that win. So hopefully he'll want to save face by coming into this fight at the top of his game and reminding us what he's capable of. Of course, there's also the very real possibility that the prime version of Fury is gone forever - whether that would be due to declining mental health, a loss of interest in the sport, or maybe he never fully recovered from those Wilder knockdowns, who knows.

Either way, i'm rooting for Usyk. The guy is a class act all the way and his cleaning out of the cruiserweight division was phenomenal. Also, I'd kill to see Usyk vs Wilder afterwards.

As for Fury, if he loses i'd expect a rematch. If he wins, he'll probably rematch Ngannou and then retire.

Actually this is one of the few decent threads you are making. You always loves to troll with this threads, but this time you hit a bullseye.

This has Klitschko rematch vibes all over it. Yeah Fury obviously loves money, but more then money he loves to be worsh****.
The only thing that i pray is that the contract is rock solid and there is a big penalty if Fury pulls out. And prolly that Fury believes that his physical size will be enough to beats Usyk, and he will be allowed to cheat as much as he can, and he will get a dodgy decision.

BTW, clinching on a moving target is not the same as doing ot on static plodders like Chisora, Wilder and even Ngannou.
Anyway i hope the fight finally happen on February and what happen, happens, and then we can talk about it and see who was right and who was wrong.

Alexander Usyk, in a new interview for The Guardian, talked about whether he believes the fight with Tyson Fury will happen and his attitude towards the future opponent.

"For me, the postponement doesn't create any problems."

I want everything to happen for us. I want this match to happen. It was supposed to take place on December 23, but we saw what happened. The fact that it's being postponed doesn't create any problems for me.

I'm not 100% sure the fight will happen. I'll be sure when I step into the ring, and we stand in opposite corners. And when I hear the bell for the first round, then I'll understand that the game has begun.

"I am motivated by the path I am on."

He is big, tough, and strong. I'm definitely smaller. But I have incredible motivation. I am hungry for boxing. Money doesn't motivate me, nor material things. I care about the path I am on. I've been on this path for 20 years, and I think in February the bell will ring.

"I love people, and I love Tyson Fury too."

Maybe Tyson Fury just wants to offend me, using all sorts of indecent expressions towards me. But for me, a guy who grew up in a village with the last name "Usyk," with a gap in my teeth. Listen, I've heard so many nasty things about myself that I throw them all back, and they become my achievement.

"I love this incredible person. I don't have a hostile attitude towards him as a human being. I just love people, and I love Tyson Fury too."

Alexander Usyk and Tyson Fury were supposed to meet in a match for the undisputed championship on December 23, 2023, but after the British fighter's bout against Francis Ngannou, the showdown was postponed, tentatively to February 2024.

Hmm, in a sense the fight again Ngannou was exactly what Fury needed.

From what I can see, he's been so convinced that he's untouchable that the humbling he took in the fight may have brought him back down to earth, knocked him down a peg or two.

So with that in mind, I do honestly think he'll stick with the Usyk fight. He knows that beating Usyk (and then rematching and beating Ngannou convincingly) will eradicate a lot of the bad taste in people's mouths.

Plus there's, you know....... the huge amount of money on the table!
