Cotto. Power Jab,, Boxing skill are the reason. Pac is easy for PBF

Cotto - I think his style has a better chance of beating Mayweather than Pac.

67 votes to 65 in favour of Pacman after I voted.

I'm surprised, I thought it would be a lot more one sided in favour of Pacman.

I think Cotto will be too slow to beat either Pacman or Mayweather. In order to beat either of these guys I think you need speed and accuracy, hence why I voted.

Pacman is the greater fighter, so I would think he would give Mayweather a better fight.

Floyd neurtalizes Cotto's jab ... makes for an illusive target ... will punch effectively to the body and stop Cotto.

Floyd would take advantage of Pacquiao's poor balance ... catch Pac coming in ... and stop him ... also Pac has shown that he can be weakened by body punches ... showed in his last tough fight against Marquez. Floyd is more consistant than any fighter that I've seen ... and he also knows how to adjust and give his opponents different looks throughout the fight.

Floyd wouldn't stop either... Also everyone her is mentioning pac's lefty stance forgetting cotto is a natural lefty and transitions seamlessly mid fight frequently. I also feel Pac would follow Floyd around the ring playing right into floyds hands. Cottos would be better capable of cutting the ring and replicating the castillo mayweather 1 fight. Cotto isn't a hard target to find but PAC also get consistently tagged. Floyd has the ability to countr Pacs speed but Cotto had the timing to catch Floyd. I think after cotto shocks most of you on Nov. 14 and handles Pac fairly easily it will change alot of opinions.

Floyd has fought southpaw's before and Pac's stance will not be an issue ... not on in the pro's but in the amtateurs ...

both guys are very hittable and we all know that Floyd is a precision puncher ... these two scenarios will result in a stoppage if in they come to life.

I have very little confidence in Cotto these days. I would expect Pacquiao to give Floyd a serious test. I also believe that Shane Mosley could beat Floyd.

Shane Mosley - De La Hoya II should be all anyone needs to see to realise Mosley can't beat Mayweather. When De La Hoya made Mosley come to him he easily nullified his attack with a jab, which is exactly what Mayweather would do.

If PBF-Cotto ever comes out, Cotto won't be fighting backfoot, it will be Mayweather. He doesn't have the speed to land consistently, only thing is that he has jab and strength both stylelistically, he's at disadvantage.

Cotto handleds Mosley and Judah's speed coz they brought the fight to him, so speed was not nescessary, just good timing to counterpunch effectively and jab to offset the rhythm of the agressor.

With FMJ he'll be coming forward, he doen't have the footspeed to effectively cut the ring off, he doesn't have the handspeed to tee-off first, he doesn't have the reach to jab effectively, he doesn't have the stamina to have a high-paced fight to tire and upset FMJ's rhythm, he's not a southpaw to give FMJ different angles. I could point out more but you should see the obvious....

some people here remember the problems castillo gave floyd at 135.
so why cotto won't give him more at 147.
this is the reason why floyd ducked cotto in the past.
but i also think that pacquiao will be only slightly less problematic for him than cotto. it is close. pacquiao will be both too midget to fight from far and will be roughed inside.
