Seriously, wouldn't that be the perfect fight for GGG? (for both guys really) To go up against an actual boxer, to test his ability to go rounds if he can't knock Mora out. Mora wants to fight the best, and he deserves an opportunity. Don't you think Mora would provide more of a challenge then the guys GGG has been fighting?
Before GGG signed to fight Rosado he was in negotiations with Oosthuzien for a 165lbs fight. I felt it was a bit ironic that Thomas was on the co-main event. But watch that fight made me want to see Golovkin-Gonzales. Brandon might not be quit ready, but Brandon could make it near 160 and he's nearly the same height as Golovkin, could be a good preview to a Ward-Golovkin fight. Given Gennady is looking to fight off HBO in August/September and back on HBO in November, I'm hoping his next fight will be a Rubio/Stevens but I don't know if even those guys will be willing to risk fighting Golovkin without HBO money behind it. The same with Sergio Mora. I'm afraid we'll have to settle for an Adama/Spada level fight in late summer and perhaps Geale in November. Maybe a catch weight fight with Carlos Molina? At this point I'd like to see GGG take on someone that'll offer a different style and maybe neutralize his power a bit like Molina did with Kirkland. Because that will be something he'll likely have to deal with when/if he fights Ward.
I'm guessing murray since he's another measuring stick as to how himself and the "champ" sergio compare to the same opponent, and also that murray is ranked very high in the WBA's ratings. However, we could be getting GGG vs Sergio Mora instead in november. That fight could receive mixed emotions unless like me you'd like to see mora put to sleep.
Yeah.........:roll:except a blindfolded mouse could see Kirklands punches coming and molina succumbed eventually to kirkland. If you seriously think that molina has a chance in hell with GGG then you're just watching a white guy in the ring knocking guys out. You don't have the boxing acumen to see it's not the punching power that makes GGG special but the overall package.
Carlos Molina is a very good fighter but he should be fighting at welter weight, the guy has no pop at 47 and 54 at middle weight Golovkin would destroy him.
