I agree. If Charlo doesn't come out of this on top or isn't willing to drop to 154 lbs to fight Crawford - I think there's an excellent chance Crawford simply retires or does a silly catch weight fight for shits, giggles, and money to close out his career. I simply don't see Bud going after the next generation of challengers at 147 or 154.

A guy who needs two tries to beat the likes of Harrison and Castaño is not going to beat Canelo or Crawford no way no how he's simply not good enough. You thinking he beats both shows you don't know what the hell you're talking about.

So you don't think Charlo will be badly drained going to 168 and then dropping back down to 154...

    Are you mentally challenged?

Canelo went from 154 to 168 to 160 without issue. Kell Brook went from 147 to 160 and then to 147. He lost at 160 and 147 but weight didnt appear to be a factor and I dont believe he ever reported otherwise. Tank went from 135 to 130 to 140 then back to 135. Donaire has jumped up and down weight classes and had success.

The point is Jermell is daring to be great. He's eyeing up a declining Alvarez and has a legit chance of winning based on Bivol, GGG3, and Ryder showings. If he wanted to cement an ATG status he would topple Bud back down at 154.

This is all speculative because everyone knows Jermell is ducking Bud. Its hardly up for debate

I don't really favor Charlo against Canelo or Crawford. Charlo is a very flawed fighter and will give both those guys plenty to work with.

Canelo is probably past his best, but a bigger concern would be if he has lost his motivation entirely. He seems to prefer spending time on the golf course these days. Charlo does seem to come into his own in the later rounds, and Canelo hasn't looked good in deep waters for a while.

I can't imagine Crawford would take Charlo at anything other than 154 lbs. It will be very tough for Charlo to come back to that weight after being at 168 lbs for one or two fights and past his 34th birthday. Even accounting for the likelihood that Crawford will almost certainly be 37 years old if this fight takes place - and that's old for a counterpuncher - Bud has a clear edge here.

IMO, Crawford is the tougher fight - assuming it happens at all and assuming it's at 154 lbs.

Canelo will stop him. So would that be a struggle? I think Crawford dominates him but doesn't get the stoppage.
