:yepThis is my preference as a JMM fan.....

    1. Hatton- if Hatton beats Pac.

    2. Mayweather- If Hatton loses to Pac.

    3. Guzman- Not the money fight for JMM that I'd like for him at this point in his career.....but as a fan, I'd like to see how Marquez would handle a moving skilled target like Guzman. I think it would be a great fight.

    4. Valero- again, not the huge money fight Hatton and Mayweather would bring, but hey........it would be fun to watch JMM take target practice at Edwin Valero!:yep

Why no Pac v JMM? You think Pac would be tied up with Mayweather?

The way I look at it.....JMM and Pac have already gone 24 rounds with eachother.....
......I dont see anything changing from how I viewed it.....
.....Marquez will won 8 or 9 rounds, and the fight as is usually customary in boxing when not one sided beatdwons, will be handed to the more popular fighter.

I can only speak for myself....but I've seen enough of it.
    Bring on fresh matchups!

They were pretty much inseperable. But Pacs body has grown naturally into light welter, while Juan's is still stuck somewhere between superfeather and lightweight. If they fought again, the result would heavily favour a Pac KO.

I see it the other way......the boxer usually has the advantage over the puncher when moving up in weight.

Pac is'nt moving the guys he's fought above 130 lbs......both David Diaz and DLH took an enormous amount of one sided punishment before succumbing due to accumulation......
Pac was hitting these guys just as square and just as hard, but the effect was'nt as telling.

With the added weight, I'm of the belief that Marquez' punch resistance would be higher to virtually the same power that Pac threw at him at 130 lbs.
......though Pac is heavier, he has'nt brought his punching power up with him that he had at the lower weights.

    Advantage JMM!

actually divac, the reason why you perceive it as such is because naturally bigger fighters have a higher punch resistance compared to smaller fighters.

simple physics actually. newtons third law if i remember. and equal force is applied etc etc. to stop an object yada yada yada.

in essence, it would take pac more punches to knock out say a fighter from 135-147 for the simple reason that these fighters have stronger punch resistance than those who are at 118. simply put, do you imagine calzaghe being knocked by pbf in the same manner that hatton was knocked out by pbf if pbf hit him in the same manner?

Newton's third law of motion is the law of interaction which states that for every action there is equal opposite reaction. Simply put, it means that if pac punches juan manuel in the head with a force of 1 000 newtons then the head of juan manuel hit pacman's hand with the same force of 1 000 newtons. WTF am I saying?

thanks. offhand I was just quoting it from memory but i still memorize the basics.

what people don't realize is that force = mass X acceleration. hence, bigger fighters like vitali will always generate more force than what jorge arce can ever do even if they threw the same punch at the same speed.

true, speed kills, but punch resistance is also a due to mass/weight. and newtons third law of motion clearly explains this.
