After he beats Manfredo, he should fight Andrade.

I cannot believe the **** I'm reading in this thread. Lacy beating Kessler? If Jeff Lacy has any sense ha won't even think about fighting him. Not if he wants to retire still talking straight.
AS for a rematch against Joe, some of you guys crack me up, you really do! All Lacy ever had was brutally ripped from him the night he "fought" Joe Calzaghe. He is broken.

while i wouldn't go as far as to say that lacy would beat Kessler. You know you can't look at the matchup like that. i mean c'mon man. Frazier beat Ali. Foreman blasted frazier out. but yet Ali KOed Foreman. see how that works? you can't do well fight A got embarrased by fighter B and Fighter C did better against fighter B. So fighter C beats fighter A. playing that game with matchups just gets us confused at the outcome.

While it's obviously not definitive, comparing two fighters' performances against a common opponent is ONE measure that can be used.

My post was in response to the idiotic post that stated definitively that Lacy would destroy Kessler.

    IMO, he would probably lose.

Andrade is unofficially booked for an IBF title shot in Summer...so it won't happen against Lacy...I think Lacy should try and go for Miranda - he would look good! If he is ready to step it up after that, I would try Andrade...

Jeffrey would get his ass handed to him yet again..

Don't you quite understand you can't be world class as a one trick pony..

He has a left hook and a .... left hook and a..

    erm....

    Left Hook.. mmmmmm..

Kessler has speed , power and great versatile boxing ability..

Jeff has to learn how to maybee throw ..

somethin else rather than that ermm.... Left hook.

Its decent left hook .. granted..:rofl

I second that - after Manfredo (the joke) - then Andrade would be a good opponent. But also Miranda and Bika would be good opponents for Lacy's style of boxing.

I doubt he'd stand much of a chance versus Kessler or Bute...

What about a rematch with Vitaly Tsypko?
The outcome of their last encounter was quite controversial.I for my part think that Tsypko deserves a rematch.
A pity that this fight wont come off within the next couple of months.
    Tsypko is Bute's mandatory.

Odo, how close would you expect the rematch between Lacy and Tsypko would be? Wasn't it so close because Lacy is still suffering and not at his best? Because if Tsypko would win or get a draw in a rematch to me this would indicate that Lacy is on the slide...what do you think?

No,a draw with Tsypko wouldnt indicate that Lacy is on the slide.
Tsypko is a very capable fighter.Due to his awkward style he isnt really fun to watch, but he is a very tough nut to crack.
Very difficult to win against the cagey counterboxer and look good while doing so.
Who would win the rematch? To be honest ,decebal,I have no clue!
Could go either way! It all depends on which version of Lacy turned up,and whether Tsypko were ready to take a punch in order to land a punch.
Lacy is a bit overrated IMO,and Tsypko a bit underrated.
