Who's next on the radar for this kid? A salido rematch? Not sure I'd want to see that again. Salido will probably pull the same weight BS and nutpunching as last time.
We should build Rigo and Loma up. Dont let them fight yet. Let them both completely dominate both of their divisions being the number 1 guy in each. Let the fight marinate into these two taking over from Pac and Floyd. Rigo and Loma have better backgrounds with still a long way to go. *****'s will be called Floma's and *******'s will be called Rigtards. We'd forget all about those has-been's that never fought each other, instead we turn our attention to two hungry legacy seeking mules who will probably fight each other more than once. Loma should fight Mikey Garcia next. Smash through him. Then seek Donaire. Rigo will probably (similar to Golovkin) fight 3 or 4 times per year fighting B level boxers and making them looking stupid and making it harder for opponents to sign a contract to fight him. Fighting regular steady competition. Build these two future torch bearers in a way that makes it the biggest fight in the history of the sport. Making Mayweather vs Pacquiao seem like a text message in comparison with the hype
An easier fight, he tied the record, there's no reason to rush anymore. One or two fights that will help him iron out some issues in his game then maybe a unification.
If he wants to avenge that loss, just put a 10K/pd weight penalty. A good ref will take care of the low blows, and Loma is learning to rehydrate better each time out. He would probably be closer to 140 this time out, only a 5-6 lb difference as opposed to the 15-16(?) lb diff last time out. I think with Salido getting a 60K purse, he would make the weight with a stiff penalty like that.:think But I'd rather see him give Dib a little payday....be a nice stay busy fight. Decent scalp, and it would help prepare him for Gradovich who is just a bit better than Dib imo.:think
Rigo vs Loma looks more unlikely now that Rigo will split from Bob Arum's Top Rank. I'm not saying it's impossible. Just like Arum would probably be willing to have Loma fight Mares of GBP, I'm assuming the same for Rigo (I don't know if this situation changes if Rigo signs with Al Haymon). It's either WBO title defences against a contender, or Loma vs Donaire may be next IMO. Donaire will definitely lose this, I'm not sure if Donaire will take it. You can forget about Walters.
Hell no, no Mikey for Loma, not yet. Mikey is a seasoned veteran and a true prodigy of boxing. Throwing Loma in against him in his 4th!!! pro fight is suicide to Vasil's career.
Salido rematch will happen when Loma moves up in weight, so not very soon. Lomachenko is insanely ambitious and will not leave his current weight unless he is the undisputed champion : so at least 3 more fights, if not 4.
Hold your horses smash through Mikey Garcia are you drunk do you remember what Mikey did to Salido almost kill him, you think Loma is ready to face the hardest puncher in super feather.
loma will most likely never fight rigo now that rigo is gone from top rank.loma already has a loss and you know arum learned from the donaire fight how good rigo really is even though there's no shame in losing to rigo.loma will fight ibf belt holder gradavich it's to soon for a donaire fight.
No shame in losing to anyone if you consistently fight the best. There is shame in ducking the best and cherrypicking opponents. Loma should fight the best, if that's Rigo, Donaire, Gradovich, whoever.
