Rigo, his defense isn't what people think. He has been put on his butt several times. GGG doesn't get put on his seat, he is a better defensive fighter.
Both ain't getting any younger... GGG keeps fighting fighters supplied by Heinz tho & he can keep this fake streak for a long time to come still. Rio on the other hand don't have anything lined up even Cans won't fight him.
The context in which you mentioned Trout implied that GGG somehow avoided or is currently avoiding Trout, which is obviously not true. Also, Trout's style is perfect for Genady. Honestly, if you're going to pick someone, go with Ward. He is the only man that can beat Genady within 1 weight class above or below. And not in the least bit due to the fact that Ward is a MUCH larger man.
Rigo is old and small for His weight a good strong young pressure fighter could give Him Hell. He could have the same fate as Calderon. He was unbeatable in His prime because His agility and defense, He became old and young strong fighters manage to bully Him.
GGG needs a name fighter on his resume as much as he needs a quality opponent. Trout and Lara offer both. Not sure why YOU claim Trout is taylored made for GGG? Is trout a stiff plodder? Is he a prosepct with less than 20 wins? Is he a shot old veteran with over 50 fights and almost 10 losses? Is he a Euro level journeyman? How is Trout taylored made for GGG? Please enlighten us? Its no secret GGG feasts on Monroe, Wade, and Lemieux type fighters to make him look unstoppable. I'd like to see him against a fighter with real skills, but as Trout has stated, they won't even consider a fighter like him or Lara because GGG will not look like that unstopabble machine he looks like against prospects and bums.
A. Trout doesn't have the punch to keep GGG off him B. Trout likes to get physical as he is used to being the bigger guy. Getting physical with GGG is suicide, you have to keep moving and avoid exchanges C. Trouts crowning achievement, i.e. his win over Cotto, came largely from Trout being able to walk through Cotto's punches and establish his range early with the jab. He won't be able to do that with GGG, there is no way he is walking through Genady's punches and Gena throws his jab with surgical precision. I am absolutely certain that Trout would be beaten in the most spectacular fashion if he faced GGG. The fact that he lost by 1 single point to Canelo won't help him one bit. PS: I find it amusing how you and some others use the term eurobum, especially considering that european boxing is dominating american boxing. Brits, Russians, Ukranians are the best boxers in the world now - they are the acme of boxing, the absolute best. I shall coin a term USless - an unskilled boxer from US.
