I think so too. I think hell pick Brook. It's a fresh fight and a bigger fight imo than Khan vs Mayweather at this point.

Because i'm bored, i'm gonna list the options on that poll in strict order of cherrypicking disgracefulness, with no.1 being the utterly most disgraceful cherrypick and one sided mismatch and last place being the true challenge

1. JMM - ancient, washed up and still at terrible size / stylistic disadvantage against Floyd. rematch would be a ****in joke just like the original was

2. Cotto II - fake ass paper chump. Floyd does better in rematches, he'll be much more cautious in the rematch and completely shut out Shotto, it wont be competitive at all

3. Khan - glass chin and glass brain. Khan and Cotto are the only fighters Floyd would probably beat by KO

4. Garcia - a joke as of late, slow ass feet, counterpunching style AKA tailor made for Floyd. boring ass shutout UD Win for Floyd

5. Crawford - only interesting if Floyd moves down in weight, which he wont do. i

6. Canelo - has a puncher's chance and little else. He'd probably do better if the fight takes place at 154 and not a bs 152 catchweight

7. Thurman - still too unproven and likely packing a glass jaw. He's got a puncher's chance

8. Brook - looks all around versatile and in a good moment of his career. still too unproven but i reckon he'd do better than most on the list

9. GGG - LEVELS AND LEVELS ABOVE the rest of fighters on that poll. This is not just a legit challenge, GGG is an incredibly dangerous threat for Floyd or anyone else south of 175. This is the kind of challenge a cherrypicker like Floyd would never take

 

Cotto or Khan.

 

If Cotto is still lineal MW champ then that is clearly who they are lining up. Floyd can pick up another division title, lineal at that and have it contested at 155 to boot. The ultimatel cherry pick in a career predicated on just that.

 

I'd be so ****ed if he fought Cotto to take the middleweight title that Golovkin rightly deserves. And ruin the chance of Canelo/Cotto in the fall at the same time. I'd be SOO mad!!
