Yet he had, had more LHW fights than Calzaghe and didnt have any problems in his fights before or after :patsch.
Did Hopkins hit Calzaghe low at any point that you recall?
Do you think Hopkins lost because of one low blow?
    :patsch

Pacquiao without a doubt. It seems a few people are lost here.

    Manny Pacquiao
D Mayweather (even fight - Slow motion confirms to me but I'll say draw)
    W Barrera
    W Morales 2
    W Margarito
    W Cotto
    W Bradley x 2
    W Clottey
    W Hatton
    W Marquez
    W Sasakul
    W Larios
    W Ledwaba
    W Good contenders
    D Marquez x 2
    L Marquez
    L Morales
    L 2 irrelevant losses

People forget what greatness is. The reason why we don't call Golovkin great yet is because of the quality of opponents - the quality of opponents play a big deal. You can lose to ATG's, but if you're winning against ATG's too especially in rematches, then you're going to be given cerdit for that.
Losses aren't a true measure of greatness. Look at the Top 5 GOATs..Greb, SRR, Armstrong, Langford, Charles - they have numerous losses.

Key points to remember when discussing Pacquiao -
    1. He is an offensive fighter - in most of his big wins, he was the undersized guy with the smaller frame - this is a big point for someone who is an offensive fighter!
    2. He started off as an inadequately trained fighter at the top level when he beat monsters like Sasakul, and lost to some irrelevant guys in his early days.

Manny ultimately had no business entering the ring vs someone bigger like Hatton let alone demolishing guys as big as Clottey or Margarito. People don't consider this point enough.

Manny beat top fighters including ATG's and the MANNER of the victory is a massive point to consider, too. Manny demolished them all virtually.

Manny also had an even fight with Mayweather, despite Manny being legitimately past prime and having a torn rotator cuff. It's simply NOT true that Manny lost to Mayweather, we can genuinely see which punches landed and which didn't.

    Manny Pacquiao's Losses -
Marquez - brutal knockout, but an evenly fought rivalry against 1. a fellow ATG who 2. had Manny's style figured out.
Manny lost to two guys when he was malnourished and undertrained. Big deal. We don't hold Jose Napoles' or Carlos Monzon's early career losses against them AT ALL.

Verdict: Manny as a result of the Mayweather fight is Top 20 of all time. Greater (but not better) than Pernell Whitaker.

    ------
Floyd Mayweather is second on the list, followed by Joe Calzaghe (who would have been a great amateur).

    What an idiotic post.

He was outclassed thoroughly by May, it wasn't even close.

    117-111, 118-110.

    :hi:

May will rank higher in the atg list, that's how most historians and aficionados have it. :thumbsup

Maybe if Mayweather forgot how to throw a proper punch and moved to the UK he'd have 20+ gift stoppages on his resume just like the vastly inferior Joe Calslappy. :think

fortunately for barry hes fairly right - injured Kessler is the only arguable elite on joes resume, with Reid world class and Lacy and BIka marginal world class.
Mitchell too was not far off world class despite being at the end of his career but we'll never know who won the fight since it was stopped on a slip after joe got clean floored.

the others on joes "title" resume aren't world class though, nearly all of them are national class!

joe got knocked over by 2 40somethings, but used his fitness to rally when they tired.

This wont stop you from replying that joe beat these 40somethings, true - but manny beat twice and drew once with the younger primer version of his 40 year old, he didn't wait till marquez was 40 before magically finding a cure for his fear of flying - so NO argument there.

See, you write crup all the time Failey, without thinking through how wrong you are. This is why you are called failey.
