    Holyfield and by far.
Holyfield is the best Heavyweight of his era period. None of the other Heavyweights in the running fought eachother like Holyfield did.
One simply cant rate Lewis above Holyfield simply for the reason that Lennox didn't face Bowe and he faced the carcas that was Mike Tyson.
The Holyfield that Lewis faced was one that was clearly on the down slide and even then its debateable whether Lennox beat Holyfiled in their rematch, I thought that faded version of Holyfield edged him.

In any regards I rate them...…..
    1. Holyfield
    2.Lewis
    3. Bowe
    4. Tyson

Bowe imo was a better fighter than Lewis, but Lewis edges him in ATG ranking simply because Lewis accomplished more while Bowe was lazy.

Both are legends and helped carry the HW division for years. I give the edge to Holyfield though overall.

Holyfield although he tarnished his legacy by carrying on for a decade too long.

At least Tyson knew when to walk away finally.

Problem with Tyson was that he could never vary his plan during a fight. Look at the Smith and Tucker fights. The plan's not working but he just keeps on trying to do the same thing. Yes, he got the decisions but the fights themselves were poor. The Smith fight was awful.

These two are inextricably linked due to their two fights with each other. However you rank your Heavyweights I would imagine Tyson and Holyfield would be next to each other.
Despite everything that Tyson achieved, I can't put him above Holyfield for the simple reason that Evander won both of their fights.

Stop hating on Mike Tyson, you can't fully comprehend how respected he is by all fighters in every combat sport. You see strength athletes and superstars like Dwayne Johnson rockin' Mike Tyson vests in the gym because its the type of name you associate with awesomeness.

    Bitter old man

Mike Tyson's best 5 wins: Michael Spinks, Larry Holmes, James Smith, Frank Bruno, Donovan Ruddock.

Evander Holyfield's best 5 wins: George Foreman, Mike Tyson (x2), Larry Holmes, Riddick Bowe, Michael Moorer. He also defeated Ray Mercer, John Ruiz, Hasim Rahman and James Douglas. Further more, he was robbed for another world title against Nikolay Value when he was 46.

    For me, it's not close.

Blimey ! You're beginning to sound like Sangria ! Mike Tyson was a very good Heavyweight indeed but I don't buy the whole worship thing.

Does he not ignite something in you when you watch him do his work?

I am not sure what planet you hail from, but over in my corner of the galaxy every guy, old and young, from the demographic that enjoys strength and combat sports has always admired Mike Tyson as a fighter and as an athlete.

He is just exciting, a force of nature, entertaining, technical, overcoming disadvantages in height and reach... he will always be revered as awesome even when you die, I die, your grandchildren die.... people will see his highlights and look upon ye mighty works in awe.

Well, you're not caught in 2 minds are you Aydamn. Iron Mike was certainly exciting in his earlier days but as I may have said earlier on this thread or on another somewhere else, I felt he only really had a Plan A. When that didn't work he could look pretty ordinary like against Smith and Tucker. As he got older Plan A became a worse plan and he could look awful.
That's not to say I don't have respect for what he achieved but like I say, I don't get the cult of personality worship thing.

I completely agree, he isn't a 5 dimensional fighter like Lennox Lewis was.

    5 dimensional

But the one dimension was enough for me babes
