We will never have another Floyd, we have reach a stage in boxing were young fighters are being rush to a certain extent and ducking fighters is less common as fans are getting fights they want to see. Broner had no business to being rush the way he did especially jumping those weight classes that quickly. Floyd was brought up the right way and facing fighters at the right time in his younger career and even after that.
I think as the careers of FMJ and PAC wind down, attention will shift north to MW/SMW led by GGG and Ward. Ward wont be the next FMJ, he will be the first Ward. If he manages to shake his promoter I think he starts taking the fights he needs to be a bigger star.
triple G will replace Floyd, he will be the PPV king inside 2 more years. You people are crazy not realizing his.
I don't think Floyd has ever taken a fight where the odds were even or not in his favor. That kind of tells you something about the man, seriously. And it's not just saying he's talented..
In skills, Ward and Rigo already match him, but they are not as controversial. There will always be someone to replace the next superstar, just look at Pacquiao when Floyd went on his "vacation". Boxing doing great without him. Thurman has great potential, he has an exciting style, good skills, and alot of charisma. Almost like a Terry Norris, but not as reckless. There will only be one Floyd, just as their is only one Pacman.
Could be a stretch but maybe GGG. I don't know how good he is yet but he has a huge fan following, is technically gifted based on some of the names he beat in the amateurs as well his rapid ascent in the pros. He has HBO's backing.
