I think you are remembering what Manny was instead of what he is. A 38 year old welterweight surrounded by young strong fast fighters. I don't believe he'll fight Crawford , Spence , Brook or any young top 4 or5 guy. Loma might be a possibility since he wouldn't be able to hurt Manny, as you said just embarrass him. Manny wouldn't fight him if he beat his mother, him ,Thurman ,Porter , or any young top guys.

 

Manny may not have the speed he once had, but he still has power which is the last thing to leave an aging fighter.

Sure that does not carry through to welter but if he fought once again at 135 which is Crawford's ideal weight, he'd absolutely flatten Crawford and break his skull in process.
