If the fight with Pacquiao is off, and if Mayweather Jr. does not come out of retirement, who does he fight next? There are no mega stars in the light welterweight division. Does he fight a welterweight then? Cotto and Margarito, the divisions' two biggest names, are tied up possibly until the end of the year. They both have figths in the early part of the year and then are supposed to have a rematch of their historic fight in the summer. Does he fight a lightweight then? Marquez and Diaz are in the same boat as Cotto and Margarito as both have will fight in the early part of the year and then the winner will be set to fight for the lightweight supremacy against the winner of Campbell vs. Funeka. Then again, lightweight supremacy might be thrown out the window if Hatton draws one of the contenders into moving up in weight and fighting for the belts he owns. How do you see this playing out? What do you think are the best options?

You know, the winner of Marquez/Diaz. But the Pacquiao fight will still possibly happen, IMV.

yup, the winner of diaz-jmm is a good option. campbell does not attract fans so he is not an option even if he rules 135 right now

diaz? jmm? i think he should fight some of the other belt holders at 140, and unify the division.
