On the recent news that the winner of Froch/Kesser have agreed to vacate the IBF title after their fight and therfore Adonis Stevenson will fight for the vacant title, who do you think will be the likely opponent.

Apparently they are looking for the highest rated opponent for Stevenson, the rankings are currently:

    1 Adonis Stevenson
    2 NOT RATED
    3 Edwin Rodriguez
    4 Lucian Bute
    5 Thomas Oosthuizen
    6 James De Gale
    7 George Groves

Do you think Bute will take this fight to regain his title again, or is there a chance De Gale could get a shot?

Hopefully Degale or Groves, either would beat Stevenson.

Bute was going down the WBC route.

Hope Groves gets it. He's better than Degale... although both would beat Stevenson.

I'm glad Froch isn't wasting his time on him though. Froch has got around 5 fights left, he shouldn't waste them on chumps.

Kessler, Bute, Ward rematches and then perhaps an all British fight against either Degale or Groves.

hmm, why not fight him? Guess it depends on the result of the fight.

Does the loser retire? Winner goes after Ward? then retire?

Dont really see the point of a Bute re-match, Ward yes, I dont think Froch should finish with a DeGale or Groves fight...Unlikely but could ruin his legacy.

it does give Froch options though...

If he loses to Kessler, could fight stevenson to become World Champ again?

If he wins, and maybe Bute beats stevenson, could do the Bute rematch/unifaction again?

Or if Groves/Degale beat stevenson, then it could be an all British Unification fight?

Failing that he could ignore all of the above and go after Ward/WBC?

Froch should vacate before he fights Kessler. If winner of Froch/Kessler is not defending it then free the belt up now.

Or enhance it significantly, like Lennox's fight with Vitali. Obviously dependent on what the one he fights does afterwards.

You're right. The fight is nothing without the trinkets.

I think Rodriguez is moving up to 175. Some 4 man tournament.
