Who will Stevenson fight next?

Probably Eleider Alvarez. He won the eliminator against Isaac Chilemba. I think he's the number 1 contender, but at the same time, Fonfara beat Cleverly for some odd WBC belt too. Not sure. I think Stevenson has two options. Either Fonfara or Alvarez. Both good fights, but nowhere near Ward.

Stevenson should step up and fight Beterbiev. He's going to look like a paper champion compare to whoever wins the Ward/Kovalev fight.

 

If kovalev steps up hell knock him out

 

Not sure Stevenson is wasting his career I can see him being linked up to fight Arthur who will probably stop him

 

Who cares the guy is a fraud.

 

Him just going around with a smile saying Kovalev is ducking him does nothing. Kovalev is the one fighting the tougher fights.

Stevenson is going to look humiliatingly bad if Kovalev beats Ward.

Stevenson needs to do something. Fight Beterbiev. Alvarez and Fonfara aren't bad fights, but they do not come close to Ward. Stevenson needs a big fight like Beterbiev to even stay relevant as a champion.

 

Kovalev and Ward are already penciled in to fight in November, guys. Stop saying Kovalev is fighting someone else. Unless Ward gets upset by Barrera, the fight is on.

Stevenson is probably going to fight Alvarez.

 

Ward needs to be on his p's and q's. From what I've seen barrera is by far the best and only truly dangerous fighter that ward will have faced.

Dangerous, as in the only fighter I see that wasn't a mismatch in wards favor. Barrera v ward is a pick em fight to me

 

Nah, Barrera isn't that good. I'm just interested to see how Ward fares fighting against a LHW.

Yes, it isn't a mismatch, but I don't see Barrera troubling Ward at all. I've never been impressed by him. Still, Barrera is a legit top 15 LHW. It's a dangerous fight for you "second" (depending on how you think the Smith fight was) fight at LHW. A good step-up prior to fighting Kovalev.

Why not a Stevenson - Fonfara rematch ? oh right , Fonfara knocked Stevenson down the last time they fought , too dangerous.

Stevenson should just step up and take his KO from Kovalev , it's the most money he can make . He is always one punch away from losing it all anyway .

 

Eleider Alvarez is a decent opponent. I doubt Adonis is going to fight him next though. Karpency rematch perhaps. That's what the once great WBC belt has come down to. You can defend it against sub50 opponents like Molina, Duhaupas, Karpency, you can refuse to defend it at full weight, you won't lose it for not fighting your mando. It just became an utterly useless, joke of a belt.

 

I heard he was going to fight Alvarez in April.
