This could be one of the worst undercards of the year

Dave Allen vs Ariel Esteban Bracamonte (Argentinas 4th best heavyweight, #151 on boxrec)

Josh Kelly vs Walter Fabian Castillo (Argentinas 9th best Welterweight, #250 on boxrec)

Ricky Burns vs Scott Cardle (snooze fest, 30% KO Ratio vs 27% KO Ratio, UD 10 Burns)

Anthony Crolla vs Daud Yordan (Crolla UD 12 snooze fest)

Not a single competitive fight here. Mismatchroom UK living up to its name

Apart from Burns v Cardle, there is nothing remotely interesting about this undercard. Gutting really.

Agree the undercard is terrible but Crolla vs Yordan is a competitive fight, I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Crolla lost

Skipping most undercards is almost necessary these days if you want to still be able to enjoy the main event.

1st time i've ever considering missing the undercard and just watching the main event. I may watch Crolla/Yordan as i don't think that is a foregone conclusion, but that's it.

    Crap card.

There doesn't seem to be much buzz around this at all. I think the constant PPV show saturation and run up to Christmas will mean this won't do well.

Promoters need to start putting a lot more competitive fights on the undercard.

Hearn and warren would much rather stick a name in with a Eurobum on the undercard rather than say have no 9 and no 10 in the country at light heavyweight fight each other, shame really

    Very disappointed in this.

Got tickets and although mainly going just to see Usyk I think this undercard has put me off planning any future boxing trips.

Usually try to get in to an arena shortly after doors open but I’m not sure if I’m going to regret turning up about 6pm on this occasion. It’s really sapped a lot of the excitement from me.

Yep, this is quite a well matched fight and probably the only one I have interest in. Although Allen being Allen he's fight will probably end up competitive.

I've noticed since dazn started uk matchroom cards are weaker as some of the fighters are out there instead. Hopefully this is only while matchroom USA is getting going and doesn't have much depth.

i don't think that's the reason. Hearn's PPVs have been on a downward trajectory since AJ/Whyte (that was a really good card) and with the few fighters he's had on DAZN cards, he still has a lot of fighters he could build cards with.

i think he's just realised he doesn't need to spend money on the card and it can still sell. look at the reaction to Whyte/Parker card. you had people saying its the best card they've seen, all of the instagram posts on the card were filled with comments saying just how stacked it was, when in reality, it was dreadful.

Good point. "Overheads walk on two legs" as the business saying goes, and that includes paying fighters.

Perhaps Matchroom has now reached Peak Casual.
