If Jermain Taylor becomes the world's leading super middleweight, I will gladly switch off from watching boxing.

The guy is such a hypejob it is unbelievable. If you had sober judges, he would have lost five of his last six fights, and is already ducking a shot at the WBC title to beat up some chump named Lacy.

I think Kessler, Bute and Froch are the immediate top liners at 168, with Pavlik and Abraham set to join them.

Pavlik vs Abraham to clean out 160
Winner faces Kessler to decide top dog at 168

    :deal

Kessler, the former unified WBA and WBC SMW Champion, beaten only by the greatest 168lber in history.

I say there should a title elimination bout among Taylor, Froch, and Kessler to prove who is the new king in the post-Joe Calzaghe era of SMWs.

Drop Taylor for Bute and that would make sense.

From all the ****** business from Jermaine Taylor's side, I can see Froch being ****ed over on the WBC title even though he is their number 1 ranked fighter.

Froch will be forgotten after his next couple of fights!!!

Froch primarily closely followed by Kessler as top and second respectively. Only people with certain agendas will pick Taylor but he won't amount to anything much in this division; he had enough trouble @ MW even with blown up fighters.

Froch is all smoke and mirrors at this stage, having amassed a record full of guys called up on a couple of days notice. The competition level at SMW in the UK and Europe generally is fairly good - and Frochy has beaten most of those one way or the other, with the obvious exceptions of Calzaghe and Kessler.

Taylor is a hypejob as I have previously said, but still a decent opponent for Carl - bearing in mind Taylor is experienced on the big stage, whilst Froch hasn't topped a bill outside of his hometown. This is the biggest problem for most British fighters (add Germans, Italians etc) they aren't tested in difficult conditions - with shaven headed football hooligans in the crowd booing them all the time etc to toughen them up. They are served 20-odd chumps with twice as many losses as wins in their backyard!
