Who will take the "crossover star" baton from Mayweather and Pacquiao?

Mayweather and Pacquiao are superstars. They're two of the most famous athletes in not just their respective sport but in the entire world. Complete household names where a person who's never watched a boxing match in their life would recognize the names.

However, since they're in the twilight of their career, someone else will take hold of the passing baton as the next crossover star to reign this decade. Who will it likely be?

None of the above, Vasyl Lomachenko.
Future P4P list within three years:
    1. Vasyl Lomachenko
    2. Guillermo Rigondeaux
    3. Andre Ward
    4. Roman Gonzalez
    5. Gennady Golovkin

EDIT: Oh damn, I didn't read it properly, sorry abuffy. Canelo Alvarez, and Gennady Golovkin.

    canelo easily....

GGG will never cross over because he fights garbage comp and there's nobody around his class to fight.

I don't see anyone being as successful as Pac or Floyd in the immediate future following their retirements. I think it will take a year or two after they're gone before the dust settles and a new superstar claims that throne.

But hopefully this never happens, and boxing PPV dies a slow miserable death.

Canelo is definitely a frontrunner, but since Golovkin will knock Canelo out in brutal fashion next year... I expect that to propel GGG into being crossover star.

It probably won't die, but the circumstances are in place that it could take a big hit, and the days where the #1 star repeatedly gets over 1 million PPV sales could be long gone, or at least taking an extended vacation.

I personally hope all 4 upcoming PPV bouts fail and fail miserably, with everyone involved behind the scenes losing huge sums of money.

Still holding onto the pipe dream that Canelo vs GGG is ever going to actually happen?

Alvarez doesn't speak English and is not that good. If he fights someone good at 160, he will be destroyed. If he was a stock, I would sell him short.

It's not a pipe dream. Trust me, I called the Mayweather/Pacquiao for May 2nd in October (absolutely no one believed me even though it was quite obvious). This one is even easier to call.

Alvarez,Crawford,Lomachenko are my top picks Gonzalaz should be up there but I think due to his weight range he'll never get his proper credit.

Why would I trust someone who's only been following the sport for a year, and who only follows 3 boxers?

I'm picking Cotto also. I think Alvarez is highly over-rated. When I look at him, I see a very limited fighter.
