Yeah I saw he had Stirverne, Povetkin, Ortiz and Pulev as options and I think its in that order too. Its a tough pool of names but I honestly thought he'd fight a somebody. Im personally not going to watch that fight (Wawryzk), Ill just save my money and watch Wilders knockout of this guy on youtube.
I suppose you believe everything that's said in an article. It's very convenient to call out Wilder when everybody in boxing knows what they were going to do (fight another voluntary) to test out his hand immediately next. Both weren't going to wait on each other to fight immediately next, Wilder fighting in February, Parker in early April. I wouldn't call a fighter a liar but I would his team who's putting out vague, easily confusing statements for a certain self serving narrative (like politics). People believe everything negative when it comes to Wilder (because they want to believe it) so it's easy pickings. The fact they are engaging boxing trolls with the "We are not scared of anyone, we're not going to look to pad or dodge – we want to unify." **** shows what they are about. Parker after all swerved from AJ to the newly vacant WBO belt with Ruiz (and rightfully so). Only an idiot would think these fighters are actually scared but there's plenty of idiots around and Duco is working them.
Scared? Who chucked that word in there? I never said Wilder was scared, you brought that in and if someone is scared its nothing to be 'afraid' of and it doesnt mean they'd lose. It doesnt help to be scared but its natural and were all afraid of the unknown. Its what people say and do. Parker said they want to fight the best available, they have stuck to what theyve said and demonstrated that. They chased Wilder, the whole world knows that. If Wilder turned around and said 'yeah I want to unify the titles' do you think Team Parker would turn around and say 'oh nah we were only kidding'. Thats just sounds stupid and unrealistic. My point is, I dont think Team Parker is bullshitting. I understand his return from injury might be a reason of some sort for the Wawryzk selection. Does this mean he punches lighter against Wawryzk? Also if everyone in boxing knew he was going to pick Wawryzk to test his hand out (cos he couldnt do that in sparring or the heavy bag) why do the boxing world, media, forums like this etc etc seem so suprised at his selection if it was so expected? Why didnt you tell us he was going to pick a nobody? There is a few threads on this forum alone with titles like 'Wilder picks a bum'. You know what Im saying? I aint tryin to annoy you, Im simply stating the facts that seem to raise questions about what you say. WBO rankings go like this 1. Parker 2. Haye (unavailable due to Bellew fight) 3. Hughie Fury Parker picked the next best available. Link below cos I provide proof so Im not talking ****. http://www.boxing.com/ranking
I quoted the article and was talking about how Duco is appealing to boxing trolls in a political type of way. If you aren't one then what I'm saying doesn't apply to you. I'm more than happy to talk about actual real **** instead of troll ****.
So Wawryzk/Wilder is locked in for February 25th 2017 in Alabama. Wilder again reiterates his intentions to unify the titles as we hear him so often say. He also mentions 'risk-taking' which kind of suprised me a little bit as I dont think hes doing that with Wawryzk. http://www.skysports.com/boxing/new...ght-title-against-andrzej-wawrzyk-in-february
He is surely only getting 1/10th for smashing up low grade opponents compared to what he would get for 1 fight against a real contender? He would only need 2 actual real fights and he would make more than he would for 20 fights against low grade opponents. Wilder perhaps needs to learn some maths and see how the number work out. Getting chinned twice potentially by two elite HWs in the next 12 months is surely a better way out, than going 50-0 by fighting the low grade opponents for the next 7-10 years.
