Who will win a world title out of these first time failures?

Is it a lack of power, lack of focus or just his style?

By the way mate I've never asked what your opinions on the trainer Joe Gallagher?

 

Darren Barker, If all the stars align he could potentially but you wonder if its going to happen for him with injuries and inactivity.

Martin Murray, I think he has a lesser chance than Barker will probably fight at world level but doesnt have the tools to win unfortunately.

Matthew Macklin, I think Macklin has a very good chance he is liked by the Americans and has DiBella in his corner so thats a pretty good combination to have. Would fancy him against Geale and Quillin

Matthew Hatton, Next to no chance not skilled or powerful enough but thats okay because he is punching above his weight and overachieving imo but fair play to him for getting where he has

Rendall Munroe, Decent operator but really will struggle in this division there are some classy operators and Rendalls style isnt quite refined enough to get at them I think.

Tony Bellew, Has a decent chance under the guidance of Hearn if he keeps winning he will get opportunities all depends onif he keeps improving and who he fights. Definitely winnable as LHW is quite open

Derick Chisora, Very unlikely even after the Klits have gone he is a bit off the pace of some of the prospects out there beaten by Fury and I think he would get beaten by a future version of Price

Matt Skelton, No chance whatsoever

John Murray. Very unlikely though he aquitted himself well against Bam Bam that may be the pinnacle for him. He doesnt have the punch or the style to become a titlist might get another shot though.

 

I think it's a lack of focus.

Gallagher.... he's brutal lately. Started off really well and became ridiculously big headed. He'll learn some day, it's just a question of how many KO losses the gym suffers before he does.

 

Why is Skelton on the list?

 

Barker if he stops being injured,

I think Gallagher just got too caught up with his success and started to stop progressing as a trainer. Not to mention taking on way too many fighters has got to him I think. I really rate him and he was doing good stuff with alot of the lads but I have noticed a fair bit of regression. I think he would benefit from teaming up with a more technical trainer as he seems to be great at motivating, conditioning and supporting fighters which is why they stay with him.

Not with Haye, Price and Fury still around.

 

They are all rubbish minus Bellew who is technically good but lacking super talent and Chisora who is a fighter but lacking physical or technical dedication. Boxing is now riddled with people who don't have what it takes to be the man in a division. Once upon a time fighters spent careers chasing the big prize and soemtimes you would get an incredible underdog story. Now, you have Malinaggi as a champion in a division that consists of Pac, Floyd, Berto etc

 

It depends how Bellew will react to a loss, i do fancy him to one day hold a world title, but id like to see him at CW, his frame is scary at 175, he looks ill, his output is low for a LHW, all that said his ability and power he will win a world title one day !

Macklin, Murray and Barker have all got the tools to win world title's but there not nailed on, the divisions actual champions are not bad, not bad at all, Murray can feel agrieved he's not already a WC and maybe Macklin too but certainly Murray

LW at world level will always be too competetive for John Murray, fact of life that 1

Munroe is a dark horse, he's an enigma, i feel he has the tools but im unsure he will eventually win a title

 

If anything I think its Macklin that can feel a bit aggrieved he didn't get the nod against Sturm, his performance was far better than Murrays imo.

 

Don't really see Macklin beating Quillin, Golovkin absolutely murders him lost v Martinez, might have a chance against Geale that's about it.

 

Bellew.

The middleweight division is stronger than it was in terms of future depth, so Macklin has probably missed his chance. Ditto for Barker.

The others have no chance.

 

Macklin for me, closely followed by Bellew.
