Hoya hits a lot harder than Cotto. Cotto is strong and relentless but I've never thought of Cotto as having one shot stopping power but if you are coming in on Hoya the way Marg came in on Cotto its a recipe for a sweet youtube moment on the Hoya side if you catch my drift.

Margarito was De la hoya's sparring partner. I am pretty sure he is aware of how hard De la hoya hits. :good

I agree with most of what you said, especially the ending, but let's remember it was the Pacquio team chasing the fight not Hoya who was actually kind of making fun of it, "If Pac wants to call me out let him jump up the two divisions so he could fight me." Mora is in Hoya's legitate weight class and if Hoya hadn't gone chasing the welter the fight would have been made regardless.

Tony's not like Vargas or Mayorga. He has the fire they both have, but where they lack discipline, he does not. Oscar will out box him early, just like Santos and Cotto, and just like he did to those Puerto Ricans, Tony will take over later in the fight and brutalize him.

Oscar's the only mainstream connection left in this sport, for him to have his last fight against either a 135lb fighter, or a reality show fighter who's known for putting on crappy fights, this would be a very shitty way of paying back the sport that's made him the rich celebrity that he is.

    Margarito TKO11.

Prime De La Hoya would win pretty comfortably. Not a snowballs chance now.

They won't fight but if they ever did, Margarito would run him right out of the ring - believe that! The chin, stamina and pressure would break Oscar down inside the distance.

Hoya is simply shot and will lose this one, he needs the stamina and activity to beat Margarito, the skills are there but when the body can't back them up for 12 rounds then you're in trouble.

Marg beats DHL all night long.
Marg's work rate is way to much for DHL and Marg's chin will take anything DHL throws. DHL would take the beating of his life.

I would love to see it. I bet DHL will ask for a 80-20 money split on this one:lol:
