Who will you be rooting for: Andre Ward or Carl Froch?

How sad that people will root for a guy because of his Nationality,Race,or Religion.I used to seriously dislike Froch,but now i'm a fan,how can you dislike a guy who is willing to fight anybody,anytime,anywhere,and he's never in a boring fight.
I admire Ward as a fighter,but the SOG tag i find very offensive,and more so when i see the lengths he's prepared to go to in order to win.
I'd love to see Froch find that chin with a big uppercut as Ward steps back after his usual lunge,straight right,headbutt,grab,routine.

 

Root for Ward.

Mark my words: Bika was a tougher fight for Ward than Froch.

 

I just want the best fighting the best. Just so fanboys can cry when their boys lose and have a buffet of crow. I wanna see how good Bute really is once he really faces an elite like Froch or Ward.

Froch because, not only is he one of my favourite fighters, but the bible bashing antics of 'SOG' flat out annoy me to death. Nobody wants to hear post-fight speech about a fairy tale. 'All power to God'... **** off.

Believe what you want to believe but don't shout about ti and try and impose your views to such a degree on the general public.

 

Why more people don't have much to say about this is a mystery.I thought The States was the place where this would cause the most offence.:huh
I'm actually struggling to get to sleep thinking about this fight TS.Can't remember when I looked forward to a fight this much.I'm realistic enough to concede this is a hard one to be confident about,but I so hope Froch can do it and shatter the illusion around this guy.:good

 

For those various reasons above, it's always better to try and disassociate a boxer's personality from his boxing ability and just enjoy watching him fight.

 

Its hard when he brings up said reason so much. Its on his shorts..

 

I know. I don't like the Bible bashing nonsense either, but a man is entitled to say and do as he wishes. It wouldn't stop me watching him fight. And it's definitely not reason enough for me to want to see him lose.

 

I like to deal in Facts mate,and the facts are that virtually nobody picked Ward pre tourney,and those that did were either very clued up,or just blinded by patriotism.
I asked people to pick the winner,and rank the others,most picked Kessler (including me) but since Ward beat Kessler he's become some kind of future all time great,and unbeatable.This is a guy who was unable to outbox Bika,and had to resort to his full repertoire of dirty tricks,and the same guy who was being out jabbed by Arthur Abraham for 3 rounds.
If Ward fights clean and beats Froch,i'll eat crow,and give him nis dues,but i'm convinced there will be controversy this Saturday night.

 

I like froch more but I respect andre alot, so i'm torn.

Don't have a real favourite between the two - got huge respect for both guys - just want to see a great fight.

Although Ward's religion bull**** pisses me off!

 

Froch, well knowing the gap in technical abilities & ring IQ is substantial enough to confidently predict a Ward UD.

20% chance that Froch's aggressivity, pressure, stamina, and slightly above average punching power gets to Ward IMO.

Ward's style in the ring is the opposite of fan friendly. Outside the ring, he's kissing babies FFS.

 

Almost the same way some people can dislike/be annoyed by a person because of his religion...
