Who will you be rooting for: Hopkins or Kovalev?

    Is GGG Russian? He's from Kazakhstan (truthfully I don't know how he self identifies or how the majority of Kazakhs identify).

    In any event Kellerman in that interview seemed generally positive about Kovalev and very positive about GGG. So unless you can read his mind or something I'm not seeing the "Max doesn't like Kovalev" angle.

    He wasn't heaping copious amounts of praise on Kovalev, but that doesn't mean he doesn't like him and honestly it seems like you're projecting your feelings of indignation on behalf of your guy onto what he's saying.

    I'm not sure what your point is here...are you trying to imply that Kellerman doesn't like white fighters? If that's what you're saying just say it instead of beating around the bush.

    Golovkin was born in Kazakhstan, but has no Kazakh heritage. He has a Russian father and a Korean mother.

    I'm not going to jump to any conclusions because I don't know what goes on inside his head. But here are some Max Kellerman quotes, decide for yourself:

    "Roy Jones is making Joe Calzaghe look worse than a washed up Felix Trinidad"

    - Calzaghe goes on to clown Jones and beat him up for the rest of the fight.

    "Devon Alexander is the heir to Floyd Mayweather's pound-for-pound throne"

    - On the same night, Alexander gets his head boxed off by Andreas Kotelnik. Sounds punch-drunk in the post fight interview with Kellerman.

    "Paul Williams is like a combination of Julio Cesar Chavez, Pernell Whittaker and Thomas Hearns" :lol:

    "Calzaghe was knocked down in the first round against Eubank" (lie)

    "Wladimir Klitschko only gets TKOs, never clean KOs" (lie)

    "Berto beat Urango by a wider margin on the cards than Ricky Hatton did" (lie)

    Kovalev. I don't want the old man to get seriously hurt, and props to him for taking the fight, but I want to see Kovalev shut him up.

    There's weirdo weird and then theres bat**** insane scary delusional paranoid godcomplex type weird. He's the latter. Would love to read a psych eval on him, it would make for some pretty interesting reading...Guy is completely NUTS :nut

    Im not sure about who I want to win. I'll wait to see how Bernard behaves before I decide!

    I've never liked Bernard, in and out of the ring. I do respect what he has done and what he continues to do so this is an interesting match up.

    I'll be rooting for Kovalev. I actually like Hopkins' style though, its just his personality I cant take anymore. Dude is a crazy, old egomaniac. I want kov to give him a Norris vs leonard type beating.

    I cant respect hopkins for making such a comment in public.
    Always yapping on about education and intellect, it seems he's lacking in both departments.

    I'm not worried about Kovalev, I'm only worried about Hopkins' personal referee, judges, boxing commission, will this be a "Hazzard" for Kovalev?

    Rumors are that Hazzard is Hopkins' best friend. This is Hopkins' promotion and he controls everything. I doubt if Duva has any say at all....................as far as Hopkins beating Oscar, Pac knocked Oscar out and he is a midget...............
