Who will you be rooting for: Joseph Parker or Zhilei Zhang?

Oh no there will be Hrgovic fans demanding he get a title shot first even though his only win over a top 200 fighter is zang.

 

I want Parker to win,but mainly if it's a good fight I'm happy

I think Parkers one weakness is the dudes too nice of a guy. Tough as they come and a really good fighter, but I wish he was a little more nasty

I don't know if Wilder was ever that good, or a little worn? But I thought Parker looked excellent and stuck to his plan. I think he will win a close decision vs Zhang.

Joseph is my favourite heavyweight followed by Fury/usyk

Fury is frustrating but I have followed his entire career and picked him to win fights where others never gave him a hope

Usyk just like Parker is a guy that's difficult to dislike. A funny guy, stand-up dude

 

Zhang for sure but I like Parker as well.

Zhang is just a way more interesting/exciting fighter imo, really want to see him get a title shot.

 

Dont really care not necessarily a fan of either. Zhang has won me over with his joyce and hrgovic fights and parker impressed me vs Wilder. On one hand it would be cool to see new blood in the division on the other it would be a good story to see Parker come back

Zhang does train out of Bloomfield, NJ right in my backyard so that would be cool

 

I like both guys, so a tough one. Guess I just hope it's entertaining, clean and no controversy at the end.

 

For Zhang. And not because I like him soo much or dont like Parker (both are likable).
I got 2 reasons.
1. Because I hard belive that Zhang will win this, I write a lot about that and if Im wrong that mean I see situation in hw right now in wrong way and my instincts failed me greatly.
2. I think like many here that Zhang win give us more interesting fight/situation in future.

We see Parker in many good fight at Hw. We see him losing Joshua, Joyce and other. He will never as he said fight vs Fury.
His winning mean less to me than Zhang because I belive Zhilei got better chance with all this names.

And maybe there is third reason. Father Time. If Zhang loose we probably lost chance to see him in many great fight.
Joseph is still pretty young soo if he want he still can rebuild his career and give us good fight later.

 

Parkers a good dude but I'd prefer Zhang to win because I'd like to see him fight AJ or Fury. I don't find Parker vs AJ/Fury/Usyk very exciting.

 

I like both but obviously am rooting for Parker.

Nothing against Zhang at all, I happen to agree with many of the reasons given by others as to why it would be good if he won .... But, I'm just way too committed to backing Parker to root against him.

Parker’s confidence at an all time high. Should be a good fight. I am neutral just hoping for a good scrap.

It is very difficult not to root for this guy. He's quite likable, and hits like a truck.

Plus he bangs everything. I have no choice, I'll be rooting for him.

 

Except none of those are likely to happen anyway.

For starters, Usyk and Fury are likely to be tied up until late this year at best (assuming no more delays) and even then there's a good chance one or both retire before there's a rematch.

And AJ has already beaten him in the amateurs and is unlikely to want a relatively risky fight against a relatively low profile fighter - if Zhang is even willing to compromise on a split that'd make it happen (which would be wide, given the relative profile of the two with ppv buys, aka casuals).

Besides...
I think Parker's probably more likely to get good fights made if he wins - he's at least as game for them, and he's got time on his hands to get them done, whilst Zhang really doesn't.
