Who wins a fight between Tyson and Rahman in 2001?

Tyson by KO. Come on! Rahman was a B level heavyweight at best! Even the 2001 Mike Tyson knocks Rahman out.

Hasim Rahman would easily beat an old Tyson. Tyson was a horrible fighter after winning the belt from Bruno. Any decent fighter who could last the distance and has decent boxing skills would win the fight. Rahman would beat this version of Tyson easily boxing from the outside.

 

Rahman might make this look easy. Watch the Tua fight for instance.

 

Tyson by knockout. I really wanted this fight to happen back then, it was Tyson's best and only chance to win the title again.

 

Doubt Rahman would approach this fight like he did Tua. One of the things that got Tyson to win most of his fights despite being completely past it is his reputation. He pretty much intimidated a lot of opponents to losing. Knowing Rahman, he might be intimidated somehow going into this fight. If not and Rahman performs as he did against Tua then he definitely wins this fight.

 

You honestly think he will go into a fight against Rahman for the undisputed title as he did against Nielsen? The Nielsen fight was merely an exhibition in Denmark.

 

Rahman was always a good boxer with fundamentals no matter the situation. Tua wasn't intimidating? Tua was scary as **** man especially back then. Rahman might be weary in the fight but he'd still win on points IMO

 

unlike today's heavyweights rahman fought eveybody he didn't duck anybody or handpick fights. he wouldn't be afraid of Tyson at all.

That's an understatement, it was like non-existent. Really a big part of why he started to go downhill as a fighter, he forgot what got him there.

His body attack was vicious when he was first coming up and that is what opened up the huge power shots upstairs against much taller/rangier opponents.
