It's a hypothetical matchup of styles here: in one corner, a very aggressive fighter and in the other corner, a pure boxer.

    So who wins?

    Vote and comment.

wich one is the better fighter?

It all depends how effective the aggressive guy is with his pressure and how he avoids counters. Or conversly how well the boxer is able to counter the guy comming forward, if he has enough pop to keep him honest etc.

Almost always the pure boxer unless the aggressor is exceptional like Tyson was when he was at his peak.

agressor wins if he could keep up the pressure for complete 12 rounds( relentless punching). otherwise, pure boxer UD.

    It depends

Mayweather vs delahoya- Oscar was the aggressor but he lost
Penalosa vs Deleon- Deleon was the aggressor and penalosa was the boxer but the decision went to deleon.

The question is far to general to cast a reasonable vote. I'll give you a great example of why it's to general. Danny "Little Red" Lopez is one of my all time favorites. A pressure fighter with a huge right hand, he beat several good boxers in his career, but he ultimately lost his title, and got exiled into retirement by Salvador Sanchez.

If the pressure fighter can't hurt the boxer, it would be a decision win for the pure boxer.

Vlad Vs. Hayes will be a good example.

no clear cut rule actually. case in point.

mijares won over arce. classical puncher vs. boxer fight.
mijares lost to darchinyan. classical puncher vs. boxer fight.

the tipping point really is whether the aggresive boxer can take on the punches or will he land the big punch to KO the oppponent.

so its really accumulation of points for a stoppage/UD or a KO scored by the aggressive boxer.

You cannot make a final determination or a logical conclusion who will win.

It depends on how effective the aggresiveness is . . . and how effective the boxing of the pure boxer is.

Fights are supposed to be scored based on number of punches connected. :D

Duran vs Buchanan is one of the best fights ive seen between these two styles. I'd usually go for boxer but Duran was a monster
