Alexander has the skills but I can see Maidana's workrate and aggression giving him problems and impressing the judges....
Idk man. I think Devon will be dropping Maidana with that uppercut once at least, but don't see him leaving Maidana there. Maidanas pressure may overwhelm Alexander late in the fight. Slightly favor El Chino. Both have not looked great as of late.
Alexander has to show improvement in order to win in my opinion. If it is the same Devon vs Bradley he will get railroaded by aggression and workrate. There is a lot of promise in Devon, but some of that has to materialize soon if he wants to continue with his career.
What Bogotazo said. If Alexander makes it to the final bell though unfortunately he has it in the bag, no matter how bad Maidana kicks his ass (barring multiple knockdowns).
Inclined to agree, especially after being reminded how ridiculous the judges are in boxing right now after last nights scorecard of 115-113 to WVJ, I mean, wtf........... It's a very interesting fight and a win for either will put them right back into world title contention. I honestly am 50/50 here. The question here is if Devon can cope with the power/pressure of Maidana. If he can, then I reckon he'll see himself through to a close decision win. That said, I question his heart after the Bradley fight (it was a bad cut, but he gave up his 0 far too readily), and there's a big chance he might just buckle under the relentlessness of Maidana. Looking forward to it!
Maidana outworks him, lands the harder shots, Scores a KD or 2. What it should be: Marcos Maidana UD 12 ( 117-110, 117-110, 116-111 ) What it is in St. Louis: Devon Alexander SD 12 ( 115-113 Alexander, 115-113 Maidana, 116-112 Alexander )
Alexander is a fraud, maidana tko's his ass or loses a fight where the majority scores it 96-94/97-93 his way.
