Yea I know that Bama guy can't score a fight to save his life. Wouldn't be shocked if he had Lara-Williams to Williams.

unless alexander has somehow become a bigger puncher and has increased his stamina, I just dont see him surviving maidana's onslaught. even with those augmentations, maidana would still probably be able to get to him.

Maidana needs a KO/TKO or multiple KD's,and even then i wouldn't be surprised if he lost the decision !!
If Maidana can impose himself from the opening bell,i can see him dominating and maybe stopping Alexander,if he doesn't have any success early i can see him getting frustrated and giving rounds away.

Still can't call this. I know what Maidana is going to bring, it all depends on which Alexander shows up. Realistically I see the tight rounds going to Devon because of (a) St. Louis judges and (b) Devon landing the more accurate shots on Maidana coming in.

Maidana has got to be mad to take this fight in St Louis.

As much as I hate Alexander I got a feeling he's gunna urango, maidana. He'll be much stronger and fitter at the weight, he's been making 140 since he was a kid ffs. I fully except him to turn into the next big thing over night with everyone on his nuts because that's the way of esb

somehow i'm a little disapointed on both of them, but specially alexander.
i'll say maidana wins but could be affected by a robbery

Well, considering he is moving up to WW, it is entirely possible.

Also, this assumes that the exact same Maidana we have come to know shows up, which won't happen, because he too is moving up to WW for this fight.

I'm so back and forth on this one, but am thinking Maidana stops him. However, if the Maidana that fought Morales shows up (which is the most recent version we've seen of him on the big stage), Alexander cruises to a close decision with people crying robbery, which is what people like to do with Alexander. I scored the Matthysse fight to Matthysee by 1 point, but unlike most here, I don't think 1 point is a "robbery."

Maidana has been improving steadily since before the Morales fight; people overlooked his use of the jab and improved guard because Morales was timing him so well and stealing the spotlight. He looked even more educated in his pressure in his bout in Argentina. I think this will be the best Maidana we've seen yet.
