5)Vitali Klitschko vs Earnie Terrell - Vitali KO
6) Tony Thompson vs Joe Bugner - Bugner UD
7)Valuev vs Shavers - Valuev UD
8)Sam Peter vs Ken Norton - Norton UD
9)Vitali Klitschko vs Norton,Shavers and Lyle& Frazier - Vitali KO Norton, Shavers, Lyle drops a decision to Frazier
10)Vlad Klitschko vs Joe Frazier - either Wlad early KO if he goes out to take Joe out early or Frazer late KO or UD

I think it´s a bit strange that you think Wlad can´t KO Norton but Peter could. Wlad is better in creating opening, has the shorter straighter punches and hits harder.

 

My picks:


1) Vlad Klitschko vs Ken Norton/Lyle,Shavers

Norton in all likelyhood would be stopped early. Lyle has a puncher's chance, but Wlad by TKO is more likely. Shavers has a puncher's chance against anyone, but his technique, speed and stamina are even worse, i'd give him very little chance to make it out of the 5th.


2) Chagaev vs Chuvalo/Lyle

I'd pick Chagaev over both by comfortable decision. Better in every department, basically, outside of chin (Chuvalo), but even at that, Chagaev has never been down and took shots from the huge hitting Virchis.


3) Sultan IBrag vs Mildenburger

Southpaw vs southpaw... i can see Ibragimov starting slowly, but gradually getting into a rhytm and winning a decision or by late TKO.

4)Shannon Briggs vs Ron Lyle

Could go either way... Briggs hits a bit harder and probably takes a better shot by a small margin, but Lyle has much better stamina and somewhat better defence.


5)Vitali Klitschko vs Earnie Terrell

Vitali by late TKO. I don't see anything Terrel does better, outside of being a more orthodox fighter. That said, i've only seen Terrel against Ali; i read he looked quite good against Foster.


6) Tony Thompson vs Joe Bugner

Thompson UD.

7)Valuev vs Shavers

I don't see how Shavers can win this one. His only weapon, a huge punch, is neutralised by Valuev's granite chin.

On top of that, the height difference takes something away from Shavers' punch. Valuev's jab and consistent work rate will lead to a late TKO, similar to the Holmes-Shavers rematch.

8 ) Sam Peter vs Ken Norton

Peter, by TKO. Peter applies too much pressure and power.


9)Vitali Klitschko vs Norton,Shavers and Lyle& Frazier

I think the bigger Klitschko would wear down Norton and stop him in the middle rounds. Same with Shavers, who like Valuev, has very little chance.

Lyle would be tough, i'd favor Klitschko, but i think Frazier wins a UD over him. Klitschko, although extremely heavy handed, probably lacks the one-punch power to put him away and loses most of the late rounds to a close decision. Frazier having to punch 8 inches up takes something away as well.

10)Vlad Klitschko vs Joe Frazier ( Can Vlads jabs and pot shots keep Joe @ bay ?)

I think Wlad TKO's Frazier early. If he doesn't, Frazier can come on and TKO him or a decision that could go both ways. It is extremely hard to zero in on Klitschko these days, without eating big right hands/jabs. And most of Frazier's offense would be neutralised by clinching on the inside... Frazier can only fight one way.


11) Thompson/Terrell

Hard to call. Thompson looked good against Guinn but lesser so against Wlad. I've only seen Terrel against Ali in which he looked rather weak, but i think he had eye problems.


12)Valuev/ Bugner,Lyle,Norton,Frazier

I think Norton and Frazier would beat Valuev to the punch and win a decision. It would be interesting to see Frazier vs Valuev with the height disparity though.

I think Valuev beats Bugner.... Lyle would be a tougher fight, hard to call.



13)Foreman vs Chagaev,Ibrag,Sanders, Byrd

I think Chagaev can beat Foreman. He has excellent defence, a great chin and showed little trouble against Virchis, basically a bigger but even more sloppy version of Foreman. The split decision was bull****. Foreman never beat a skilled boxer with a good chin and Chagaev is just that.

Ibragimov would probably be stopped by Foreman. Sanders would be a lot like Foreman/Lyle, Foreman probably overcoming trouble in a great fight to a stoppage win.

Foreman vs Byrd... interesting. Again, a skilled boxer with a good chin is always going to mean trouble for Foreman, though Byrd could be knocked out.


14) Corrie Sanders vs Ken Norton/Shavers

Mmm, Sanders could very well end it early against Norton, but if he doesn't find the TKO within 6, he's going to stopped himself sooner rather than later. Same with Shavers.

 

I wont try all of them, but one that stood out for me is Norton-Wlad, Norton seriously imo will wiin this one, he's awkward and can be relentless in attack, some of them clubbing ones will fiinish this one imo

 

I don't think so. The punch that is effective against that crabshell defense is the left hook. That style is wide open for that punch & I don't like Norton's footwork either, if you turn him or back him up.

I think Klitschko can use that jab to keep Norton way out of range--and Kenny has a lot of ground to make up here & this isn't a Middleton type opponent for him to break down. That wide looping right hand from way outside Kenny threw is very very dangerous to throw against Klitschko who fires straight down the pipe and can easily beat Norton to the punch.

I'd also pick Sanders to bomb out Norton, but within 2 rounds. That straight left was fast and accurate and he won't have to look for norton in there. I think Corrie bombs Shavers out early as well & that one might look like the Duplooy bout.
