Mike weaver 28 kos in 41 wins never EVER was Big puncher ,he had to hit once and again and again to stop decent people,he was like norton manufactured power. TATE never lost to coetzee he lost by KO AGAINST trevor berbick, here you got your big puncher lmao

Oh, come on guys. You're acting as if you don't know the story on Carnera only looking at the figures and stats from his record. 71 KOs doesn't mean squat when an unkown amount of them were manufactured. Have you ever actually seen Carnera fight? He was muscle, that's all. Hadn't a clue how to throw a punch or a combination or to put some heft behind it. What did he have, like 85 lbs. on Loughran and couldn't put a dent in him? The story was that he stood on tommy's feet for 15 rounds muscling him in the clinches. The Carnera story is part of boxing lore so don't be looking at his record and saying 'Wow, look at this.' I see Tate eyeing up that dangling left and chopping down Primo with a precision-like overhand right. And I believe it would be done quite early.

And you accept those stats as being kosher do you?
Can I ask you why Carnera is never mentioned in any big punchers list? Don't you think that strange with his ko percentage?
Or do you just blindly accept it?

I see that you just ignored my former post probably because you don't want to admit that you was wrong.
I never said that carnera was any top puncher, but Tate never ever was mentioned at being a hard puncher neither so it is debatable

If Carnera wasn't a top puncher ,how do you account for his high ko percentage? I don't have any problem saying I'm wrong I just made a thread about it concerning the Hague v Langford fight. You must be confusing me with some other body.

Ignoring is what you're doing when questioned about the bona fides of Carnera's career.

I know at one time in the early 80's Carnera had the tag of least talented heavyweight champion in history.
