who wins at cruiser- prime holyfield or prime rjj

Holyfield would be just too good at that weight where Roy would not be at his best.

 

These posts putting Prime Roy against some of the greatest heavyweights ever is getting a little old and ******ed. Roy has a much smaller frame than any of those guys, actually a pretty small frame for even LHW. So why ask about fighters that NATURALLY carry around 20+ more pounds than Roy easily. The lowest Holyfield ever fought was 175ish and Roys fought as low as 154. If where going by skill, athletiscm etc etc than Roy's one of the greatest ever but 20-30 pounds usually nullifies that pretty easily.

 

How about Roy vs Holyfield at SMW... Roy easy KO because Holyfield would be on his death bed when he steps into the ring and Roy would be right where he needs to be.... This isn't much different than asking about a BLOWN up Roy against Holy in his prime weight

Very true. Jones wasn't even fighting at supermiddle yet when Evander was ruling at his best weight. Holyfield would beat Jones at cruiser in his prime, however Jones would beat Holyfield at heavyweight easy post 2000 to 2003.

Not stated flatly but strongly implied by Senya 13 that Roy would have beaten both prime Ali and prime Marciano.

As for Holy, it's not outside the realm of possibility that Roy beats him at cruiser. He was at peak, better than Evander.

But if I had to bet my life on this one, I'd be leaning towards Holy.
