I'll always love Alcazar's Oscar the most. Alcazar bred a killer, Sr. tamed the beast.

Anyway, I have to give this fight to Oscar. He would swamp Floyd and hurt him.

The thing I didn't like about Alcazar was that he seemed at a loss sometimes (this was something I had against Jack Mosley too). No doubt however that if there was anyone who could motivate Oscar it was Robert, Oscar even acknowledges that Robert used to say things like "do it for your mother Oscar" that really got the motivatation out of him.

Oscar was also trained by Emmanuel Steward for a fight or two, and he really wanted Oscar to unleash the beast from the start, something he was worried Rivero took out of him.

Oscar's defense was always very good, not as great as Floyd's obviously, but the dude chopped everyone up trying to come in on him. The bold part of your post is exactly as I see it too.

Bottom line is people speculating on who can beat Floyd time and time again come up with someone with DLH's style, speed, height, and power. Now we're talking the division he was perhaps the deadliest, where his punch nearly decapitated folks. I think DLH's range work, jab, and combos take the win.

Oscar by UD. Floyd couldn't even scratch him and barely beat him when oscar was well into his fading phase

Not a few people thought an old Oscar had narrowly defeated Floyd.

I must be a hater but honestly I didn't know I was. Having said this, I just could not imagine Floyd winning against a prime Oscar after I saw him struggled against a past prime Oscar.

People have got to understand, Floyd is the master at putting you off his game. If you don't intimidate him and let him get past the first 2 rounds, Floyd will adapt and keep you off him with his jab, his pitch perfect defense and right cross. It will simply interrupt your game and you'll keep walking in on his counter. It doesn't matter how much of a monster you are, Floyd has the power and the ability to EASILY make you fight his fight. De La Hoya would have to be patient and box behind his jab. I think forget the Lightweight division because Mayweather was a completely different fighter, De La Hoya could beat Mayweather if he could rely on his jab, but I think he's just a little too gung ho and would eventually start playing Mayweather's game and lose a UD.
