    Okay, folks. Who do you have if they were to fight?

    Benavides has the length, stamina, and boxing ability but does he have the power to beat Clenelo?

    I'll take Benavides by UD.

    I think Alvarez catches him in an exchange. The deciding factor for me is the chin. Canelo's chin has been tested, Benavides has not. Both will land and I know Canelo can eat a few but can Benavides.

    At this stage, Canelo is due for a loss at 168 against a young gun who simply outhustles him. Benavidez might be that guy.

    I have been of the opinion for quite a while now that Benavidez would beat Canelo. The fight tonight has only made me even more certain.

    I’ll go Benavidez decision, because Canelo’s defensive instincts and chin are good enough to avoid being seriously hurt or knocked down, but Benavidez will give that chin a stern test.

    And I think deep down, Canelo knows (or at least is very afraid) that he would lose, hence why “I don’t fight Mexicans”

    Good point on the chin check for Benavides. I'm not sure Alvarez beats Benavides in the exchanges though, Benavides is fast and spiteful with his punches. Based on this display by Alvarez, I'd take Benavides with a late stoppage - with that caveat on the chin of course!

    I think Canelo is clearly on the decline now

    Less output
    Still has gas tank issues
    Flat footed - knee surgery at 28 years old
    17 year pro career - he peaked years ago
    He fades late

    Benavidez may just get to him but his style is sloppy. Canelo is the more eye-pleasing fighter.

    Best ever Canelo I saw was against Chavez Jr. He was inch perfect that day.

    TBH, canelo is looking at the most money possible. If SHOWTIME and pbc can come up with the money im sure hed take the challenge. At this point imo, i think Canelo should fight him now before Benevidez becomes that much better. Canelo is already slightly slipping in his abilities.

    Real Mexican macho man Benavidez is absolutely fuming at all these ducking female dogs like Clenelo, Plant, Jermallo, Morrell and co running from him. He's desperate for that smoke and big fights and they're desperate to run in the opposite direction from that smoke at breakneck speed.

    Youd be surprised. Canelo has taken alot of risk in the last few years of his career. Dont doubt him.
