Who wins between Kelly Pavlik and Paul Williams? Peterson: Middleweights fear Paul

Baloney from Paul Peterson. Media HYPE to attract attention.

Pavlik fighting Williams is is waste of time for Pavlik. They don't belong in the same weight category and they don't belong to the same level. No money . . . no stature!

Williams will be eaten alive by Pavlik. He's not even at the level of Gary Locket or Pantera Miranda. If Williams can survive 8th rounds with Locket or Miranda then he can fight Pavlik. Unfortunately . . . he won't.

 

Williams has power. It just may not be as evident fighting at welter. He has 25 KO's. I have seen no reason to question his chin at all. Never seen him hurt or phased. He took some nice shots against Margo and was good.

 

Pavlik is on a whole notha level than Margo. And if he had that much power, he would be KO'ing all but elite welters. He has power but it aint up there where Abraham, Taylor, or Pavlik are at. No way.

 

The only elite welters he faced were Margo and Quintanta and he knocked Quintanta the **** out the second time. Im not saying that he can hit like Pavlik but i think his power will go up as he goes up in weight and fights at a more natural weight.

 

Williams has enough power at 147, but he does not have "hurt Kelly Pavlik power." Miranda an Zuniga both failed to hurt Pavlik, and JT caught Pavlik with 15 unanswered shots, and 8 of them were smack on flush! Williams would get knocked the **** out inside 7 rounds.

 

I am not saying that Williams will knock him out, but i am saying his power will be ok at a higher weight. He dosent have to hurt Pavlik to win the fight. The reason that Pavlik won the second fight was due to JT's inactivity in the late rounds ( I think JT won the second fight but that is neither here nor there so). Williams is not going to get tired and it is not like Pavlik is hard to hit. All i am saying is Williams has a chance.

 

I'd have to stop short of granite. Pavlik doesn't have a chin like Andrade, but it's damn good. Look at the beating he took in round two of the first JT fight. He came back out in the very next round, and in the words of Manny Steward, "Acted like nuthin ever happened." He ate Miranda's shots like the were ****ing Skittles. According to KP Zuniga hits harder than Miranda. He put Kelly on his ass, but Pav was up at the count of 2, and the ****ing FIGHT was ON! Combine all this with the fact that Williams sure as hell ain't no Tommy Hearns, and it adds up to Pavlik walking through Paul, and scoring a highlight reel KO.

 

But he's not gonna be able to take alot of hits from Pavlik

 

Williams asked for $1.5 million to fight Pavlik. Top Rank and HBO agreed to pony up. Williams said --- no thanks. Nuff said.

 

And Williams should be fighting for way more than 1.5mil

 

How is this nuff said. Williams decided not to fight him at this moment but that does not mean that he dosent have a shot at winning. Why is every thing about power with every one. **** if that was the case Miranda would be a beast. I just think that Williams longer reach ans Southpaw stance would give Pavlik a fit. I belive Pavlik would win but damn i dont think it is one sided.
