if cotto applies the exact same tactics he did in the margo fight
he will win in very good fashion on the scorecards

that is the right gameplan to go with
will not have the same sort of fire power as margo
and clottey does not have the best work rate, he gets gased when worked hard during a 12rder
chasing cotto around the ring and missing alot of puches due to miguel's lateral and head movement will just allow cotto to notch up the rounds
i have to add though clottey his a hard as nails mofo, he will not get stopped and he will not give up

 

thank you :good...im going to say cotto by UD. I don't see Clottey KOing Cotto the way Margarito did, he doesn't have margs workrate, so i think Clottey will get outboxed/outworked. Clottey couldn't even KO damaged goods in Zab(i personally thought Clottey was going to KO him the way Cotto had).

 

I also agree with his. Many people don't think it was a good plan due to the fact that he didn't win but I honestly was impressed with his boxing skills in that fight. I don't think it's so much that the gameplan didn't work but that his body couldn't carry it out. He gassed and outpunched himself trying to KO margo which was one of his downfalls. He can't outpunch himself with Clottey because this is another guy he ain't going to KO so he should just stick to trying to win rounds. His second mistake was not clinching. If he can fix these two things then I see him winning really comfortably.

 

Cotto by competitive UD maybe 115-113

 

Cotto should be able to outbox Clottey but it won't be as easy as some here think. Clottey is a big strong WW who can counter and has good defense his problem is his workrate because he has the tendency to sit behind his high guard waiting on the counter. He'll have his moments but Cotto should still win.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Clottey will just follow Cotto around the ring and allow him to tee off on his head just like Margo. Different fights call for different gameplans.
