Who wins - Dariusz Michalczewski vs Roy Jones Jr ?

Michalchewski would not be able to deal with that kind of speed. He would get knocked out, his chin is not that good.

Kohl would never allow Michalchewski to leave protected Germany, where they made a ton of money.

 

Although I was disappointed in Jones for not forcing this fight, he would have beaten DM. Many of DM's fights were not televised in the US. On paper, he had a lot of good wins, and, at the time it appeared to be Jones' stiffest test. But, now with the benefit of watching his fights on youtube, I am far less impressed. I think Jones would play it safe and easily outpoint DM with his superior speed (and even power). DM is a very solid fighter, and had a great career. But the gulf in talent here is clear. DM is no Roy Jones.

 

Telesco created waves with his mouth. He trash talked and called out Roy at every opportunity when HBO televised his fights. He also had an exciting style. HBO were very pleased when the fight was made.

 

I agree. But I think HBO knew that he'd create interest with his mouth, and that it would be an exciting fight due to emotions running high. And that's exactly how it played out.

 

i don't have an onus to show you anything. the info is out there. i am on the verge of not watching boxing anymore anyways. with the expected failure of drug tests by luis ortiz, boxing has actual fallen to the least on the up and up sport, behind pro wrestling.
