I do think Canelo has more talent than your average "hype job" to be honest. But you are correct in saying that Canelo hasn't faced a fighter of PW satus. That does favor Lara. Lara really does appear to be the sharper skilled fighter but does not look to be as conditioned as Alvarez as he was sucking serious wind in there. Canelo has a great body attack that could pose some problems against Lara. I'm still questioning Canelos chin and I know Lara will test it. I think Lara has proved that he can take a shot. If he (Canelo) can take some good shots from Lara then he has a great chance of taking it. This will make for an interesting fight. I think GBP will build them up before putting them against each other. I don't know how much the Martinez KO has affected PW, but by the way Lara looked, I favor Lara against Canelo.
He is well conditioned don't know what happened last nigh,t but he was complaining that he could not catch his second wind, Diaz told him forget it about it and keep hitting him on the face, maybe fighting a Light Heavyweight can do that to a JMW, take the wind out of you because there were not once that Williams landed hard enough or hurt him, most have been the extra weight on the clinches, and canelo has a great body attack but against who? Lara is not Baldomir and old sitting duck, or a punchless Hatton.
Lara was out hustle by Molina even thought Lara just trained one week for that fight (his fault he should had not taking molina lightly) he still connected the more telling blows, a win for Lara no, neither for molina, a draw was fair, I'm sure the powers to b will make sure they fight again, you just can't have two aces on the same weight class that the champions are not even queens, JR and Canelo.
I thought he got a little second wind after the 7th, but noy enough for he was still sucking wind hard. It's not like Paul was landing on his body effectively. But like you said, might of been all the pushing and shoving in the clinches. You do have a good point about Canelo doing great body work against fighters less talented that Lara. I'm just saying that Canelo does have the ability to fire some nice combos mixing body and head shots with good speed and decent enough technique.
While I don't go to the level Doc has, Lara opened the door for what happened last night, he let off the gas and took to throwing one or two punches, then running and holding which allowed him to get outworked (at least in the eyes of those who count). That **** won't get it against Canelo, I think he's more skilled than Canelo, but I think Canelo is the stronger fighter, and I think he would take the fight to Lara...to which Lara would go into his worst PBF imitation and lose a decision.
