this is the final shot of the boxing club - taken from behind my back garden.

if you look carefully next in between the houses you can see a small white building from behind - this is the back of the club - through that wall is right where the ring is.

Back in the 1980's if you were standing where I took this photo you could hear Colin Jones training for his fights - slamming the pads and the bag and bashing up sparring partners

Hatton nuthuggers like Trotter say I am lying about all this - dont listen to him - this is the real deal - Jones came from this gym and became the youngest Olympic boxer to represent Britain and the first Welsh boxer to fight in Las Vegas for a World title

No but I know him. He's dead famous too and he's a mate of mine. He sometimes trains in the tent too. Here's a picture of the tent. Before he put the lighting bolts on though.

I bet you all thought it was going to be a tiny tent but that would be stupid. It has to be big enough to train in. You can see the river in the background. That dead famous american swimmer trains there too. He's dead good and this picture proves what I'm saying is true. Sometimes you can hear the splish splash of the swimmer man training in the morning getting ready to splash out all his opponents. There were plans to expand the tent but it might fall in the river and then we'd all have to learn to swim so it wouldn't be good or anything. But that picture proves everything I have said is true.

That old shed is a boxing club that has been there since the 1950's.

 

It's all a bit dodgy sounding to me as well to be honest. Unless you can produce a picture of you at the same time as Colin Jones hitting a heavy bag in that building in the 80's I'm not interested. Even then, I'd want a picture of you in 2008 standing outside the same building for comparison with a sign relating to ESB or this thread to corroborate the earlier picture.

That kind of evidence would almost convince me.

 

The house is a house my parents owned. In the 80's I was a child - I would have no business going into the club - and never said I been in that club with Colin Jones there. No picture exists of me being in that club with Colin Jones.

That said I did a bit of training over there when I was a teenager and saw Colin Jones on the pads hitting them damn hard - even though he had been reitred years.

I refuse to have myself appear in any photo because I want to remain annoymous.

However I could put a sign saying something against the club - whatever

 

anyone who has ever trained at the Penyrheol ABC will confirm to you that is the club - and that shot from behind the club is my back garden
