I'll admit that when the Taylor v Froch fight was matched I was extremely certain of a Taylor win. Froch made me eat my words with his big heart and solid chin. I just can't understand how Taylor couldn't outbox him, he appears very slow and vulnerable. He is obviously more awkward to fight than he looks. However I feel that he is cut from the same cloth as Bika and Andrade, but just not quite as good at what he does than those two. I admit that Taylor is a better fighter and is a better win than all those guys I mentioned, but I just reckon Taylor defeated himself that night. But props to Froch for still being there at the end to take advantage of a gassed and careless Taylor.

I think Bute would box Froch's ears off for 12 rounds. If we excuse that near meltdown against Andrade I think Bute is a real rising star and is close to the level of Kessler.

Froch is not a pressure fighter and he doesn't have an inside game. Taylor had intensity at the beginning because he always boxes like that. Every single fight he does is like that! It's not because Froch is a pressure fighter. And Taylor always fade, it's not because Froch is so intense, it happens all the time. I will just say to you that if Taylor was able to knock down Froch, Bute will destroy him. Bute has by far more power than Taylor. And he's a pretty good finisher. Froch's chin is also questionable from now on.

Agree to disagree then,Andrade does pressure you all the time.Part why his pressure wasn't working was that Bute has got very good footwork. And it's a lot better than Taylor's.Jermain can't get out of the way to save his life.

Very pathetic. Froch did what he has to do in a very close fight in Taylor's backyard. Simple as that.

You're right that Froch carefully stood off Taylor and took his time, waiting for a chance to land his power shots and not smothering his work. This is because Froch doesn't know any other way to fight. That's his style, he has no other options. Taylor was a moron for not controlling distance properly in the latter rounds and leaving himself standing right at the end of Froch's reasonable but hardly devastating "power shots". Froch appears to be an evil finisher because he has only really fought two fighters of note. He finished one of them. Congratulations. Lets see how he goes against other world class fightes when, or more accurately, if, he hurts them before we start proclaiming him one of the greatest finishers of this era.

I know you guys are proud of your local boy and he has done well, but I just think that there is no way he can sustain it given his level of talent. He will get smashed in the not too distant future by the standout guys in the division like Kessler and Bute or by any number of the second tier guys.

Froch supporters have been hearing this for years now and so far he's proved you all wrong. I suppose one day he WILL lose as nearly fighters do. Remember that EVERY fighter in history, no matter how great, had weaknesses which were exposed by opponents. It's boxing and 99-9% of the time it happens. If Froch has reached the top of the SuperMiddleweight pile, arguably the strongest division in boxing, with such an obvious lack of talent that so many claim, then he must be very lucky indeed!!

Kessler is the best at Super middle but Froch is a close second. That's the only fight that matters.

    I believe that.

Kessler is skilled, but I simply cannot leave him at #1 just based on what he's done years ago. He is waaaaay too inactive, and when he actually is fighting, he's fighting bums like Sartison and Haussler. Fighters shouldn't retain their #1 ranking when they don't do ****.

Bute is the only guy who can make the argument for being #1 over Froch. But I'm not even that impressed with Bute's resume. I think Froch's last two opponents of Taylor and Pascal, trumps anything Bute has ever done, outside of facing Andrade and barely squeaking away with the win.

Froch fights anyone, anywhere. For his first title defense, he flies to the States against a serious threat in Taylor. He's the champion and he's flying to the challenger's home turf to battle for his belt.. that's balls.. Let's see Bute and Kessler do something like that.

Well the only three real candidates are Bute,Froch and Kessler. Froch has two better wins than either of the other two, one of whom is inactive.

It MAY turn out that both Bute and Kessler are better than Froch but to prove that they must either a) beat him or b) start beating marquee opponents

    I didn't ask you that did I?
And stop making the Pascal win look like only God could do it.
Taylor win you can argue it's the best between the 3 but Pascal......please.
